Wheres the best place in alaska to get a job and be able to dig good gold on the week ends do you know.? My favorite camo ....you guys have alot of rounded dark granite. There shows how much water activity you guys have had. To turn mountans into fist size rocks.

There's gold pretty much everywhere in AK. Anchorage is probably the easiest place to find work but the cost of living is high. Thanks for watching!

You pan a lot slower than my buddies and I, but you're probably losing less gold. All in all a very good video. Swirling isn't as important as shaking but tapping is important

I live in Fairbanks ak so yes water super COLD. personally I use heavy chemical resistant elbow high rubber gloves for panning so I don't freeze off the 9 fingers I have left lol. Where are you at in ak ? if close maybe we could go prospecting some time. Let me know thnx.

Kenai Peninsula here. I generally wear gloves just like you describe but I forgot to grab them that day. I Sure regretted it hahaha!

First of all .... hahahaha in the comments a German ask for the Army suit ..... And that was the first thing I recognize Black/ Red / Gold 👍 Now it comes ....... I'm Canadian/German too ... and I use to mine in B.C. Canada ( Placer with usual equipment (Cat ,- Exc. ,- Pumps etc. etc. for a living ) But ... boy ...... I have to say something to the panning technique ...... ( and the pan himself ) 1 ) Look at " 40+ years experinence " Gary Smith ... Barkerville Historic Park ( From the basics ... one of the best tutorials) 2) Then "How to pan for Gold " Gary from "Two Toes" .... exellent tutorial also for panning 3) And "How to pan for Gold with WalnLiz" ( Australia ) exellent tutorial for panning All them techniques will form and create finally your personely technique ...... But that pan ( Keene / Garret ...) is showing in every tutorial ..... but it is not the final solution with them big riffles ...... smille ( it will not save your gold from washed out ) There ar many tricks and skills with a regular Pan ( with ,- like you said ,- big wash space ) I learn the panning a long way ( from 1980) in B.C. .... and start with a frying pan ( without handle ) I saw really old timer ...and how fast and accurat they were ... ( unfortunately they all gone now ......) with there Eastwing 14" ...... my goodness ..... Not many people knew what really happend in the pan ,- with different materials .... and of course Gold ..... hahahahaha What it do with the gold ,- and how it behave ....... And it is not all the time a advantage to classify the material with a sieve ..... So... enough "grouse around "....... 😄 Nice clip ..... keep going to show where you find gold Greetings from B.C.

My family is from Germany but I was born and raised here. I use German army surplus camo a lot because it works very well here in Alaska.
