Sounds like a good way to fix the crack. Think if will hold much better than that flex steel you see on tv 😆 🤣. Take care ✌️

I’ve had people tell me to use that aluminum rods that you apply with map gas. I might do that but I’m still going to sandwich it in two layers of aluminum one on the inside one on the outside and 5200 sealant.
