Dang, Dave takes almost an entire minute into the song to join in, but dam he really takes over when he finally does. After 1:40 he completely takes over. Rose's violin only comes back at 2:25 and is nearly drowned out at that point

I hear Beatdown and maybe Rose Fight theme too (It seems a stretch). The only instance of Rose fighting I saw up until now (I'm at page 1720, which is half of the reason I'm even here) is against her mother though.

I'm sorry to inform you but you are wrong, being from Derse or from Prospit has nothing to do with being an active player, take Rose Lalond as an example. Being an active/passive player depends only of the class, Seer/Heir being passive classes and Knight/Witch being active classes.

SuperWhoLockin Rose was a very active player, actually. She didn't follow what the other were doing throughout most of their session. Remember when she literally tried to break the game to see what happens? Both she and Dave took charge and earned grist and tried to advance and level up. While she doesn't have an active class, I believe she did take control. That being said, I'm clearly not Andrew Hussie, so I have no idea, but a lot of fan theorists agree that the Derse kids were much more in control that the Prospit kids.

Petra Black Yeah, I agree that Rose was very active player in that part of the game, but that was because she was inverting her role (more specifically, from Seer of Light to Witch of Void). I should remember you that moments later she went fully Grimdark, and when she did, she was neither passive nor understanding (like a Seer would've been). The opposite, in fact.

Rose and Dave are better friends than John and Jade. John and Jade never even got together until the scratch was initiated, but Rose and Dave were partying in Dave’s Derse tower. It’s also akin to how Dersites are active.

Assuming you really don't know, Homestuck is basically the longest webcomic online, it incorporates videos and flash games into the stories but sometimes soundtracks like this are only extras in the comic's ost, the characters here are Dave and Rose

Homestuck is a long webcomic that ran from 2009 to 2016. While most of it was pictures and text like a normal comic it also incorporated multimedia elements like the occasional animated video or browser game to tell the story, along with an extensive official soundtrack, which is what this song is from.

I'm a Prospit dreamer, but I think I enjoy this song more than "Prospit Dreamers". Honestly, Prospit and Derse are equally necessary and amazing. Each has their own good traits and bad traits, neither can best the other in comparison in my opinion.

Maria Pessolano well I must say, I am much better (truth is I'm not, grimdarks are inverse of their claspect and try helping in grimdark but fail making things absolutely awful to deal with) (it's also gonna make me have to get my sessions mind player to undo my damage whilst she's solving her own planets puzzle, which is beating the labarynth, kinda difficult to even find as her land is Land of Mazes and Labrynth, mine is Land of Comfort and Feelings, what's yours?)

The themes of the Prospit and Derse dreamers show us a lot about their personalities and beliefs. Prospit dreamers prefer the process before the result, they prefer to enjoy doing the topic no matter how it turns out in the end. It must also be clarified that they were interested in making a positive and joyful theme. That's why the dreamers call them "silly people." Derse dreamers prefer the result, regardless of the process, they will judge themselves until they achieve their goals. They prefer their subject to be negative, since the positive for them is stupid (Not to be confused with fear of what others say, the derse dreamers are the ones who judge those people) (Another thing, with the fear of what others say; the prospit dreamers also judge, but they are not so aware of what they are doing, or they do it to want the derse dreamers to like them.) That's why the extended zodiac asks you whether you prefer the process or the result!

I really like this song. I think it gives the Beta Universe Derse more of a distinct flavor and sound while representing the kids and the way they interact while giving more voice to what it's like to be a Derse dreamer . .

Fun fact: Just discovered that the violin that Rose plays appear to be taken from the EWQLSO Gold/Platinum library (i am unsure if the sample is still available in modern Symphonic Orchestra releases) and comprises of two instances of it. One is for the majority of the melody, specifically "F SVL Mart Up Dn.nki". The other is named "F SVL Sus Vib Hard.nki" and is only used for that long A# note at its end, since the latter is a suspended/sustained sample (thus 'sus') and the former is more of a staccato (as in a short/pluck) type of sample Bonus fact: 'F SVL Sus Vib Hard" is the same instrument used for the secret melody during the brass section in the Smash Ultimate version of MEGALOVANIA!

You know what I find kinda interesting about this song and Prospit Dreamers? So, Prospitans are typically team workers and collaborators (with the exclusion of Vriska), right? Well, in their song their (John and Jade's) respective instuments are working together from start to finish. On the other hand, Derse Dreamers are soloists, preferring to work alone and in the shadows, and always looking bad ass while doing it. In this song, the instuments (Rose and Dave) are only together for a small portion of the song. It starts with Rose's violin until Dave joins in and overtakes the song. Sorry if this sounds dumb :P, it was just an idea I had.

Derse and Prospit are so much different; In this Dave and Rose seem to be competing, but it makes the most enchantingly dark sounds. In Prospit Dreamers, John and Jade are playing together to make a lighter sound and tone; both of them are amazingly beautiful, but I'll be pailed if I don't like this one better than Prospit Dreamers. :3
