So much thanks, it's been a tough year and haven't finished yet. All views on my channel the money from KZfaq goes to a local cancer charity. I've got 1342 subscribers now and the channel is doing well. It keeps me motivated through the journey.

I’ve been on this PC journey since 2014.. I have a KZfaq channel but I haven’t done any prostate Cancer videos. I keep thinking that I should.. Back in September 2014 I was stage T3B locally advanced Gleason 3 plus 4 = 7……. 10 out of 12 cores of the biopsy were cancerous.. PSA 7.8. I had ADT and 37 sessions of radiotherapy.. The cancer keeps trying to come back so I’m on Enzalutimide and Decapetlyl but I’m still here leading a fairly normal life over 9 years later.. I’ve never had a PET scan but I’ve had MRI and CT and Nuclear Bone Scans…. I’m so thankful for the NHS..

yes I cant fault the NHS to be fair, sometimes a little slow but i understand that. i hope to see my results of my Pet-CT scan on Tuesday and will share on here and see what next treatment for me is. Thanks for watching. Take care

That's why I keep delaying my treatment plans for my prostate cancer. There doesn't seem like there is a cure for this stuff! They give you a um "FEW" pills to take and if "they" don't work they TRY a "FEW" other pills !!! WTF ! Etc. Etc.!!! And through all the " EFFORTS" you have the SIDE EFFECTS to deal with!!!

Hi there, slightly different story for me. Early 2018 PSA registered at 10.7. Long story short - had the stampede trial as the cancer was local aggressive and suspect lymph node and pelvic. Put on Zoladex for three years, Tamsulosin, 6 bouts of chemo followed by HDR Brachytherapy and 29 hits of Radio therapy PSA now non detectable. Had problems - non insurmountable. Biggest the presence of bladder stones which bite and have, due to water retention occur - up for an appointment with urology next month - now 76 and 6 years on still enjoying life so best of luck

Neil wishes you all the best for the future. Hopefully you have a full recovery and long life ahead. Because everything is treatable now, if it’s called earlier enough and dealt with which you seem to have done.

Dave very much appreciate your comment mate. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I had my per scan this week and treatment starts in the planning stage next Thursday with the 1st proper radiation on the 18th April. 20 sessions are booked in. Thx for the comment mate

As I said I am from Sydney Australia. I was in Latvia and was sick but did not have time for a PSA. My PSMA scan was very bad so I saw a radiation oncologist had 39 EBRT and 3 years of ADT (hormone therapy). As I stated the fatigue, hot flashes and low libido from ADT has only just started to improve. Neil you produce great videos.

September 2020 I had PSMA Pet/CT scan. I am from Australia. I was PRads 5 Gleason9. I recently stopped ADT (hormone therapy) that resulted in PSA undetectable but low libido, hot flashes and fatigue.

I was on a cruise ship. I should have realised in Riga that I had a problem as I broke a bike shop toilet in my eagerness to relieve my bladder. I also had blood in my wee. Originally I migrated to Australia many years ago from England with my parents.
@shadowsonthecheap83613 ай бұрын
Glad you had the scan at the lower level. I had mine at 0.24 and they found 3 lymph nodes cancerous. Now on ADT for 2 years with 33 doses of radiation to follow at 6 months. The ADT is awful and haven't felt well since starting with hot flushes, joint pain, fatigue etc. I said jokingly to the nurse doing the injection that the cancer caused me no problems but the injections are awful. She said at least the treatment is only 2 years so just stick it ot and they expect a cure in the end. So, even if it all seems too much, stick to it Neil, we must go on for our loved ones. Best wishes. Graham.

How long do you have to wear the diapers? How bad was your incontinence.
@neildavidson77683 ай бұрын
Hi Rick for me I had the catheter in for 2 weeks then I wore a shield (light pad) for 2 weeks. Maybe my age was on my side. I'm 53. Never had a problem since. It's now a Yr since operation and still no problem.

@neildavidson7768 For the reply. One more. Question. When you had a catheter in were you doing the kelig exercises .? Or dud you have to wait until it was OUT ? i'm thinking that you WERE doing the "drills". Also, how much were you doing them.

Hopefully your PET scan will be negative... which is what you want. This means you are at very early biochemical recurrence with the PSA of ,,0.2. you should push to get the salvage radiation of prostate bed and lymph nodes NOW ! as waiting till 0.4 you will have missed the boat of chances of a cure. I'M IN THE USA with very similar story... PSA rising to 0.11 one year after radical prostatectomy Gleason 9. My pet scan was negative and I'm scheduled for 33 sessions of radiation treatment this week. Because this is real early in the biochemical recurrence my radiation oncologist and I agree to no ADT for now. Please push to get the radiation now. You need to to have future pet scans that are neg and if so you have a chance of cure especially with Gleason of 7. There is a guy in KZfaq with same Gleason of and he had positive nodes all way up to his neck in pet scan.
@neildavidson77683 ай бұрын
frank, thanks for the comment and watching my video. I've had my pet scan on Tuesday and now need to wait until next Tuesday for the results. I'm just grateful i was allowed to have a scan at 0.2, again its normally 0.4 over here before they do anything. I will be doing another video on Tuesday to discuss the results. All the best mate
