I will say that the problem I’ve had constantly time and again is the DELAYS. I ended up taking it off not too long ago because additionally, it got cold one day and it didn’t notify me that my battery was starting to die the hours before. It’s a smart product, but it definately needs work.

Just bought one for my SRT V8 Scat Pack. I literally have my car blocked off with my house and another car infront of it with a motion sensored camera facing the driver side door. Paranoid as can be 😂

This is a great cheap investment , I would invest in a good alarm like Viper Compustar or Clifford if your car is not push start . They are kind of expensive but so is a brand new Mopar plus your peace of mind has no price .

Yep def a big con. It notifies you once it’s been disconnected. One workaround is that you can reroute the OBD2 to the trunk. People that get tazer on the the newer scat packs have to do that.

Good question! It will give you a notification once it’s unplugged. It’s not a theft-proof neither are the more expensive systems but it at least gives you a chance to deter thieves or find it. You could reroute the OBD2 to the truck there’s a bunch of videos on that for this car. People rarely check the trunk when first stealing it so you could do that.

It informs you so you can do what you need to do to stop them from stealing your car 🔫 or at least identify the suspects when they drive away. It’s better than waking up one day and finding your car gone without any clues

The latter 😄. What I keep telling myself is, at least ill be able to call the cops sooner and have them on it sooner. Sometimes the damn thing doesn't even inform you 😆. What I tell myself to feel better about that is, at least sometimes it works... and hopefully it'll work the moment I need it to; kinda rolling the dice but hey, better than nothing.

You’ll just get a notification. That’s why you use other devices like the Uconnect App or an airtag. Gotta have multiple levels of protection. Not 1 method is totally fullproof. You can also reroute the plug using an OBD2 extender to the trunk too.

Yeah bro you would have installing a killswitch or a more expensive Viper Alarm system. If you live in an area that is prone to carjacking that would be my best bet. Since my car is garaged and I live in a good area I don’t have to worry too much

Truth is, the only way you can stop thieves from taking your car is to lock up the wheels somehow. Keeping the engine from starting is still not enough as thieves can just tow it, and that is not unheard of. But locking it in a garage is already a great deterrent. Locking it up in a garage with a vicious pitbull? ..that's even better.

lol I didn’t say this was the end all of security devices. Reroute the carlock to the trunk, use an airtag for secondary tracking, use the neutral cover plate,use a steering wheel lock, so you can make it much harder for thieves to steal these cars.

Good question! You have to create an account when you first register so when you get your new phone, redownload the app and enter in the email and password you used to create and then you can get back to tracking.

That’s true so you can either re-route the OBD2 to the trunk which I can say they will not be checking there until they get to the chop shop. Plus once they break in the window you already get the notification so you can just take action. it’s not theft-proof but even installing a kill switch or a viper alarm system they’ll still steal if they really wanted to lol
