It's the one sided nature of relationships and what's really going on that hits you hard. Everyone values themselves but hates you for even trying the same. That was when I decided I matter. And those who couldn't even fathom that I matter as much as anyone, why do I need them in my life? Yes! Finally said it, this is so important to hear. The time, money, status and your amazing potential as a man/human is devastating. Married to a covert narcissist for over 10 years, almost 5 years of post divorce abuse, so much loss, can't see my son without risking my own safety. My mother was also involved financially as an investor in a business I had with my ex, my mother was basically a saint that was all about giving (granted also a codependent that sadly attracted predators and I understood that I took after her), my ex didn't even spare my mother and left her devastated financially in her last part of her life, also didn't let her see her grandson at times, did I mention that my mother and ex never had any arguments or fights while we were married? Last November my mother passed away from stomach cancer, she also had extreme brain fog, the doctors couldn't find anything until it was too late... It's clear to me that this toxic situation basically killed her. She was pretty healthy before. I also had an emergency gallbladder removal myself , of course all the emotions, shock and anger we feel in our stomach.. My mother moved from her home country to the U.S as an older woman and my ex didn't care to put her in this insane situation. Recently decided to step back from the situation so I can rebuild, I'm in my mid 40's and have to deal with intense PTSD, but at the end of the day even under horrific circumstances we can rebuild. I took the time to study myself, study psychology, it helps to understand narcissism because on top of the red pill this information is crucial to know. Narcissistic men do horrible things to women as well so it is more fundamental subject that needs to be learned. Of course as men we are at incredible risk because the way society, hypergamy and the family court is setup. I recommend checking out on KZfaq: Sam Vaknin and Richard Granon (who is also here in the 21 convention). Jordan Peterson is also great for understanding general human dynamics. There's no need to hate, just try to be positive, focus on yourself, and don't worry about creating someone that "women want" just create someone that YOU want. We don't have to all be super Chads. I'll leave you with something that my beautiful mother told me on her death bed few months ago... :" Respect yourself, have other people respect you, do what you love, and everything is going to be ok". I wish the same for all of you out there. And if you are going through hell right now, get help! Therapy, friends you can trust, only allow the best people around you. Never negotiate with a toxic ex, there's a reason governments do not negotiate with terrorist. Try to resolve things via your lawyer and know when to cut the losses and bring the focus back to yourself.
