Protecting your child from predators I Qaris I Tutors I Domestic Help I Relatives I Online Predators
AHI is Aamna Haider Isani and will bring to you the life, style and soul of my life.
The word AHI may be the acronym of my name, but it independently stands for a species of Hawaiian Tuna. Ahi is an apt name for me. As a Piscean, fish is my symbol and water my element.
But this channel isn't about astronomy. l'll be tapping into my 20-year career as a fashion journalist to cover fashion as a source of self-expression and body positivity. We'll have a little bit of fun in shows like Fashion Fortnightly. I'll be connecting with fashionable creatures in Meet the Muse and reviewing fun, new products in the short FIR - First Impression Review. Aamna 101 will take you into my life while The AHI Icon will bring you an exceptional person, whose story inspires.

Agreed, i remember my father insisted that we sisters sit in our lawn outside to learn Quran when our Qari came, he would water plants, clean his car , etc so that he is continuously around us, back then i didn't understand but now i do.

Then What is the Point of Such Exposure When ur Constantly in Fear Why Be a Part of a Religion Where You Cannot Even Trust The Religion Preachers ?
@lalaydiya
@lalaydiya 2 ай бұрын
@Skywimz what kind of dumb comment is that? Do you think that only preachers are bad? Then why was there allegations of child molestation on Hollywood celebrities? Why are pandits constantly accused of raping women? It's just that ppl assume that because they are teaching religion that they are not prone to any wrong doings. The point is to be careful with everyone not fearful, be it a religious personality or a van driver, or a relative or teacher, be cautious, not fearful, just like we are cautious while crossing road.

Thank you for speaking about this issue Amna. I was molested by a molvi, chauffeurs as well as hired help when we lived in Karachi and mind you I was under 9. Also in our society we shame the victims, stay silent with religious figures and most importantly the lack of education. I think we should educate our kids about private parts and if someone tries to touch it, they should be shunned.

Completely agree with you. Whenever I see people posting pictures of their kids online showing them in diapers only(however innocent it may be), I just feel so uncomfortable thinking about all the predatory glances that post will receive. Before this video I used to feel that I was overthinking maybe but that's not the case.

Thank you Aamna ❤ People also keep your children away from old people (both men and women). In our culture, old people (including old immediate and distant relatives, neighbors, colleagues, etc) are given alot of respect but in reality old folks are just aged people and not necessarily saints. Encourage children to speak up. In our culture we like children who don't talk much but this results in children not voicing their concerns. Be there for your children (as said by Aamna).

Thanks so much for taking on this sensitive topic. I feel it’s heavily needed and more ppl need to speak about these things. Unfortunately very few ppl actually go after the predator , everyone always shames or hushes the victims and this needs to STOP! Ppl don’t realize the trauma victims have from these childhood situations, it literally stays with them for life. I’m definitely that paranoid parent and I barely leave my kids with other people unless I am there and honestly ppl should be the most protective and paranoid about their children. It’s sad that previous generations were so relaxed and didn’t prioritize protecting their children from these creeps. If a maulana saab is coming over in your home to teach kids, an adult should be there at all times, there should be no compromise on that. Also ppl who opt for online teachers, there’s lots of creeps online so please sit with your kids.

Thanks Aamna! This is a topic we all know but choose to not talk about. As a parent of a 9 year old girl, I can say I am paranoid about her safety to the limit. Even though I am living a relatively safer country compared to India/ Pakistan. Communication with your child and giving them the trust to walk up to you and talk about not feeling safe is the key in this. Good touch bad touch. I have told my daughter that ONLY I am allowed to see her below her neck.. NO ONE ELSE! So far I feel she tells me everything which I pray everyday continues to be! Thank you for sharing your personal experience. I am so glad your child and you have that bond which is needed to dissolve this situation. ♥️♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻

Agree, with Aamna 100 % very relevant in this day and age. The saying is trust but verify don't blindly send children anywhere or with anybody. I am so glad you are raising awareness. Teaching children about good touch/ bad touch and as you said,they should feel comfortable to talk to parents. The problem is as you said the Molvi,Qari are given too much blank check by the society but they are all humans like priest scandals in Illinois ,also famous Muslim clergy in Illinois was found guilty in the court running a Muslim Madrasa. He was 75 year old at that time and sadly half of the muslim community was in denial that he could do such a thing. He destroyed many lives. Absolutely, never trust anyone blindly and listen to your kids.

Me being a teacher would like to add that children in a class come from different families and experience unfortunately different things in their households. I have witnessed a 5 year olds hiding under the desk doing strange things to the other children. Caregivers either parents or teachers should remain alert, understand, guide and insure security of each child. Bring a mother I always took a firm stand that my children are safest with me only. And for that (living in joint family) if I have to keep them locked with me in the room when I rest, I did. Never let anyone clean or change my baby. Being a mother is a life time responsibility. Full stop.

DO NOT EVER force your children to hug a family member that you love, if the children don't want to. Grandparent, uncle, cousin - the relationship DOES NOT MATTER. If your child is not in the mood or is disinclined to hug or sit on someone's lap, you have to support your child. You can't teach them to say 'no' to bad touch while also forcing them to hug people they don't want to.

Prevention is the best cure. Teach your children from a very young age not to let anyone touch or look at their private parts and not to touch and look at anyone else's. Group activities are best, not 121. Online supervised is preferred aswell. Only people who can harm your children, are ones who have access to them. Firstly that will be family, friends, teachers, tutors, coaches😢

I think a child should not be touched or asked to touch any teacher molvi qari in any way, parents before admission must categorically put this point Infront of the principal so that a principal then could educate teachers very clearly no matter what you just can't touch the child.

8:11 Let's say they're in a Madrassah or any type of group Quran class, the Qari/ Ustaad/ Ustaani can easily ask or single out one kid and take them to a side room. You can't expect the other kids to stand up to the teacher? You can't leave kids alone even in a group setting. Unless you literally drop your kid with a nanny cam ? I know it sounds insane but I'd do it for my kid. I'd speak to the teacher and literally as I drop my kid, walk in with a nanny cam, set it up with the teachers consent so I can watch my kid during the class remotely the whole time. That or the teachers coming at my house to teach with me right there. My point is you have to have eyes on your kids the whole time.

I have a 3 year old and we were having discussions about how we should introduce Quran classes gradually. And I made it very clear that he will not be going to a masjid or a madrasa. And if anyone will come over to teach him Quran in future I will chaperon him. If that makes me a helicopter parent I don’t care.
