Same experience with adoption after 12 years of prayers. When I changed my prayer to be a mother instead of to become pregnant, I was holding my son in my arms within a year. During my prayer to Blessed Mother, my prayer changed to become a mother & the sun changed position in the sky & lit up the face of the Virgin Mary in a most beautiful way. That was 36 years ago. Sometimes God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers & I actually know why now. God knew best.

When I grew up and started to listen to protestants on the net I could not believe my ears. They believe lies about us. Lies which are not that dificult to check if they want to.

Another explanation to add is that to believe heresy requires a commitment and confirmation bias. You have to look at the scandals and how they were covered up . Awful, awful things happened to children and adults alike. You are feeling the effect of it. And wasn't the first English printed bible done so by the protestant, Rome was against it. The Catholic Church does have a lot to answer for still.

He had the power to remove books from the Bible, he had the power to remove sacraments from the life of Christians, and he became the only unbound authority on doctrine? At one homily, a deacon spoke of the Holy Spirit descending upon the disciples as forgiveness to one another. Binding and loosing. Speaking to him after mass I said, respectfully deacon, the CCC teaches that it is where the sacrament of reconciliation cames from. He said, "well yea you can read it that way". No wonder people have no clue what the foundation of the church is.

It IS up to us to read, learn and understand the full meanings in order to explain the word to everyone. One priest I confessed with told me they are not trained to teach religion. @@darrellperez1029 Exactly! I agree with you. The priest actually said that? Wow. How awful. When I was growing up I had one priest only talk about money and all others spoke about saving of souls. The deacon I mentioned above said the homily comes from the holy spirit. I said again, deacon, respectfully, no wonder there are no lines for confession bc the people aren't taught about it. Yet, the priests are constantly saying "we have more ppl for communion than we have for confession." They aren't told about receiving communion outside grace. Nothing. So we have to seek it out. Thankfully Dr Pitre has helped me understand it more.
