A demonstration was held in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, calling for a boycott of the Eurovision Song Contest due to Israel's participation.
A demonstration was organized by the Irish Palestine Solidarity Association and Irish Palestinian Artists in front of Radio Television Ireland (RTE) in Dublin.
The demonstration demanded a boycott of the Eurovision Song Contest because of Israel's participation.
The demonstrators also reacted against RTE for not broadcasting the calls made in Ireland in recent months calling for Israel to be disqualified from the Eurovision Song Contest due to its attacks on Gaza.
Irish musician Liam O Maonlai, singer Mary Coughlan, Australian musician Stephen Rea and many others participated in the demonstrations.
During the demonstration where Irish traditional music and dance performances were performed, demonstrators lay on the ground to represent Gazans who lost their lives as a result of Israeli attacks.
Irish musician O Maonlai told AA correspondent that the boycott was powerful in terms of encouraging people to change.
