I saw that everyone is telling period stories here so I'm gonna tell mine too. I was 11 when I got my first period and I was so scared. I was at my grandma's house and after I told my mom the only thing she did was giving me pads and asking me ,, You know how to put it on , right?" and because I was scared and confused I told her that I know but I actually didn't....Lucky me that my best friend send me a video about everything about period. My mom never explained me more things about this and that made me feel confused and scared at that young age.

As a solo parent (male ) to a daughter i found this so hard to talk to my child about this. So i asked my sister's, niece's and her older girlfriends i trusted if they could help her in this change her body was going through. It was the best thing i ever did for my daughter, because she didn't have to go through the embarrassment of hearing her father talk about the womans body. I did the same with sex education asking female friends and family to explain that subject to her. I really hate periods to my core. Like no matter how it indicates that u are a grown up capable of giving and all that but it is never gonna be something I would want to be congratulated for. The main reason it makes a girls life difficult. First when u got cramps and are in public u gotta act like its nothing. Secondly it actually feels disgusting . Thirdly whenever your date is near I personally before going out think twice if it's gonna be today or not it's like a constant tension during that time and also the mood swings, I get soo irritated that at yines I say something that I don't even mean.
