I have always argued that the Yoruba language needs to be preserved as the reality is that it is gradually getting extinct. We need a long-term view/approach on how to preserve the language, its adages, and cultures amongst future generations. It is critical. I say this because I grew up in Ibadan and most of my friends are Yorubas. I speak and understand the language much better than they do. I really do believe that the Yoruba language is the best language in the world. These proverbs and their meanings need to be documented and taught to the younger generation. Preservation is key!!

too much of bad seeds among us we should reduce trhe rate of influx of people into our space it will lead us to total extinction..level of intermarriages in Yorubaland is too high we are gradually going into extinction

Good job on your efforts to preserve the yoruba culture. My observation on some of your videos is that people often confuse "Owe" (Proverbs) with "Asayan Oro" (Idioms) which is often used in modern day yoruba usage especially on local radio. It is important to differentiate the two when being used so that people can learn the yoruba grammar better. Many old yoruba proverbs are often deeply entrenched in the cultural context of the old yoruba ways while maintaining relevant wisdom for today's life. Asayan Oro especially the modern ones often reference the current cultural context in our society. I hope you find this point of view useful.
