Providing teeth whitening services in your salon or spa is possible if done correctly.
The first rule is to understand that YOU can not apply the product to the clients teeth, you can NOT put your hands in the clients mouth. That type of service can only be performed in a dental office.
You can assist a client with their own teeth whitening treatment and walk them through the process. This video is an example of how to begin helping and assisting a client, without touching them.

Hi Krista, thanks for you thoughts, I understand where you're coming from but...many clients are intimidated about the process and what they are looking for is someone with experience to help ensure they are getting enough gel on the right teeth for the right amount of time. We offer the kits themselves or the upgrade to the service if they chose. It's totally up to the client. In my experience most clients chose to come in for the treatment. The additional benefit of coming in for the assistance is the use of our professional LED light which has about 10 x the amount of LED's of any individual teeth whitening light on the market. Clients will see results faster and feel more confident. Every client is different and that's why we offer the options. These videos are specifically for those who want to be able to offer both options for clients. This might not be for everyone. Lastly, it's a huge "no no" for any person, not under a dentists practice to put their hands or product inside a clients mouth so the only option for fast results outside of a dental office is this service. @@AAM29290 Hi there, actually many states have strict guidelines about putting anything into a clients mouth. There have even been many lawsuits from the national dental association against small businesses performing this service. It's always important to never take someone else's word for it. Always check with your state and county in regards to these types of services. Our method is specifically designed to avoid any confusion.

Great question! A couple reasons: 1. Not necessary when using a brush to apply to the teeth only. 2. Most are made in China. We advocate made in the USA only.

Maybe a gel pen instead of just gel would be easier for the client to apply by themselves. Its a great example of patient/client management. You will learn how to give clear instructions to make it easier for everyone. Some of these comments are ridiculous and obviously have not done their research or they would know why you are not the one applying it. I don't mind paying $100 to have this service provided instead of $600 bleaching trays made at the dentist in which you go home and apply bleach yourself anyway.

see above comment. Only professionals under the guide of a dentist in a dentist office can apply gel to a clients teeth. Anyone else doing this is breaking the law.

The reason is simple - it may be illegal. Depending on the state you live in if you are not a dental professional you can not put the gel on the clients teeth. Our course is designed for people just like you who don’t know the regulations and need some guidance.

lee sug Nice language. Being filmed can uncomfortable for some people. The reason we don’t apply it to a clients teeth is because it’s ILLEGAL in the United States. Those services can only be performed by a Dentist or dental assistant inside a dental office. If you’re watching this video because you want to learn how rondo this then please research the rules and regulations before criticizing others. Good luck.

touching the dirty mirror and then touching the tip of the gel while also touching the clients hands. The cross-contamination in this videos is insane!

There’s no cross contamination. The mirror is sanitized before and after touching. We also don’t touch a thing else once our gloves are on. Anything that touches the client mouth is disposed of. Other items like mirror and glasses are fully sanitized twice. After use and prior to next clients use.

Gel can only be applied by a licensed dentist or dental professional in a dentists office. It illegal to apply the gel to a persons teeth. A person would have a hard time applying it laying fully back. If you are considering offering this service we highly recommend our course because it seems you might not have all the regulatory facts and could end up in a lot of trouble. Just because you see someone else doing this does not mean it’s legal.
