Hopefully it's not just a new tread pattern! The t1r had a terrible compound as of late

A lot of people are telling me the compound and the sidewall is pretty soft and that it isnt as good as PS3/PS4. but i guess for the price, you can't complain

i couldn't agree more, this thing is catering to the entry level enthusiast, whom might be looking at RE003, PS3, PS31 etc, dont compare these TR1 to the likes of AD08R, R1R, V720, or else you would be disappointed. A legit UHP competitor. my verdict

The way it's showing rotation is going to trap water in the tread pattern. Surely they need to rotate the other way?
@snuffmoviestar15294 жыл бұрын
I just got some of these, you have to have the deep water channels on the outside of the tyre meaning that the tread pattern is actually rolling in the opposite direction from the left side or the car to the right side of the car.. which makes no sense to me
@Andrei-xi5tu4 жыл бұрын
yea the arrows are rotating the opposite way for half of the car, the only logical answer would be to have different tires for left and right

Are these tyres directional? just got four but it doesn’t mention rotation direction on them-
@MG3R4 жыл бұрын
these are inside/outside donuts, not directional

@@MG3R Well they have half directuonal pattern so if you put them on car you notice one side traps the watter in the pattern ... Which is soo dumb did no one in Toyo actually think that they should come in R / L side???? Wtf

@@umberdus If they made the tires different for left and right it would mean they need 2 production lines or at least 2 molds. I think they didn't do it simply because it would add costs. I've had these tires for 2 years, it rains a lot here and i have not noticed a difference in grip between the left and right side of my car. I do think it would look so much better if they made them for left and right

@@jaapo I have a heavy car and drive a lot highways, and that was my thinking right... As you why why does not toyo make them 2 sides they have a decent depth around 9mm when new nice pattern that could work but averaging 77 % on wet... Why do they even create half V shape pattern (closed) on one side and dont think about 2 sides of the car... Makes me sad. This way Toyo will alwas stay on the bottom end if they dont think ideas to the end. PS decidet to buy Goodyear Eagle F1 supersport .... Much much much better feeling of the car than last with Rainsport 5 ( yet another example) of fancy pattern not working on water at all

I personally found the Toyo TR1's rubbish. The steering was vague and unresponsive. Didn't feel planted. Not for me.

Was that on a fwd or red, what size car or what profile tyre were you running, just ordered two for the back of my mercedes cl500

@@ronanmcnamee2008 hi, it was FWD, 235/45/17. The rubber was very soft, you could press it with your fingers, felt a bit like a sponge, hence the vague steering and didn’t feel grounded (sidewall was fine, not soft, just the tread)
