i mean... i know all these things, i've been making dioramas for a decade or so. I was really here for the shortfilm, but man... this was funny as hell. !!!!!!! Congratulations man! Consider getting yourself some warhammer 40k minis and improv some tutorials. You might break youtube.

We would make our own hot wire cutters at Boss Film and Stetson Visual. Mostly due to the size requirement. We were cutting blocks that were 4x8x2’ white bead foam . Fun but toxic. Neat trick: you can use a curry comb to sculpt then a hair dryer or heat gun to smooth the surface. I also came up with a trick of applying plaster and while it was wet i would use a small sand blaster to add texture and strengthen the plaster. As always work safe and in well ventilated area and wear a respirator.

@@filmdesigner800 I'm very familiar with these. I've been drooling at some of these pictures for years. Betty is probably my favourite spaceship ever. Always wanted to make a replica 😍 Ressurection had absolutely fantastic vfx, the docking sequence, the medical room with that movable lift... You guys did an amazing job. And I did watch Sense of Scale, sure. There's also a lot of deleted scenes on youtube.

I got a Hercules, which is much less socialist with it's blue casing. It's more democratic socialist. None of that tankie pea-green! I'll make my own anarcho-syndicalist version that's black and red, but with a better miter gauge.
