I really like watching you diaries. They do help me keep calm as regards side effects since I've been on Prozac for 2 weeks now and I'm experiencing undesirable things. So thank you very much for sharing your experience! Hope you're doing great 💛

I’m terrified of being high because of a bad experience. But I start Prozac tomorrow. This high feeling you’re talking about has me extremely anxious

Hi Casual Trouble, I'm sorry to have made you feel anxious about it, just know we all experience it pretty differently, some people notice absolutely no difference and no side effect, while others complain of bad side affects. I can assure you I've been on it for many months now and its been more positive than negative. I'm going to make a new video to update where I am now very soon Hope all is well

I think the videos are useful. I also think it's important for people to keep in mind what our goals were when we first got on the medication. I don't know if you are seeing a psychiatrist or regular PCP / GP, but psychiatrists in my experience try to add on a lot of medications that may not align with our original goals. I also wonder if you've considered taking the "once a week" prozac pill. I have heard the experiences can differ. In my experience, Prozac is very mild in comparison with Seroquel, Haldol, Remeron, or Ativan. I'd also be interested in knowing what are your goals - both short and long term. Are you planning on using antidepressants for the rest of your life or is this just to get through a rough patch? There is a phenomenon called "prozac poop out" where eventually the Prozac stops working in some people and an increase in dose or medication change is warranted. Also, getting off these medications can be challenging for some people. I know that because prozac is a longer acting drug (as opposed to Xanax / Ativan or remeron which are shorter acting agents) that people seem to not have as many withdrawal symptoms because it remains in your body longer and tapers naturally - it also takes longer for it to start working, as opposed to the other drugs I mentioned which are faster acting agents. If you are planning to get off it ever, I hope you make videos showing that experience as well. Also are you using any other substances like weed etc? I hear some people have had success with marijuana for anxiety. Thank you and good luck and good health!

Well said. No I havent heard about the once a week pill. I'm glad to know that Prozac isn't as heavy as others. I don't know if I will be doing anti-depressants for life or not, depression has always just sort of been there for me, soits certainly not just a rough patch unfortuneately... The notion of being on them for life is scary to me, but we'll see. I plan to make an update soon, I have been feeling some positive effects I'd like to get out there.

Along with my Prozac 20mg in the morning, my Psych nurse has me on a dose of Seroquel at bedtime & it gives me a good nights sleep. You may want to ask your provider about the sleep problems. I appreciate you sharing your experience's with your Prozac treatment .

I’ve been on prozac since 2017 , and as you will see I’ve commented on most of the prozac videos on KZfaq , the side effects were bad for me , couldn’t eat couldn’t sleep , tingling , restlessness , dizziness , dry mouth , sickness those side effects did go but took ages and I don’t think it has helped much

Im 3 months in now and symptoms are the same as yours, normally times where i would have flipped out im just like whatever. Anxiety has almost completely gone. However the depression itself which is what it was meant to treat isnt really improving because the things that bothered me before enough to atleast try and deal with then, i now just ignore them which means the problem gets bigger and bigger. Restlessness in the morning took about 2 months to go away for me. If i go to bed in a good mood ill wake up about 4am wide awake and wont get back to sleep, i still wake up super early and dont sleep well at all but atleast the restlessness has subsided. Overall the positives definitely outweight the negatives. I dont want to kill myself anymore which is always a plus lol. Not sleeping well at night and being tired all day is the one side effect that hasnt subsided after 3 months. I used to not even be able to pull myself put of bed until midday some days and even spend days in bed. So waking up at 4am wide awake is strangely a welcome side effect
