i agree bex does have a lot to give to the england squad, just him being on the pitch lifts the whole time, but i dont know how many years he realisticly has left, posssssibly the euros no chance for the next world cup though

I'm impressed with David Beckham he was once ridiculed for being thick but his command of the interview and confidence has really come on. Well done Jonathan Ross I hope his stint at itv goes well, though I do feel his wit would go down well in the America better than the likes of Piers Morgan...though Britain does need a wossy.

prolly the reason why the marriage has worked for so long is that they're two really down-to-earth people who just happen to have tonnes of money in reserve. that's it. i hope the beckhams grow old together, i hope their kids walk the straight path.

@katiexpwnsxyou exactly, just because thje sport is really popular in one country, doesnt mean that the whole world likes it too.and the sports like baseball and american football were all taken from other sports like rugby(the man version of american football) and cricket for baseball.

@GoalieRealmUSA You know your history. Your country and ours were both built on slavery, but we banned it decades before you, and fought the Nazis alone for a year - in a war which America would not have even bothered to enter had it not been for your cutting off Japan's oil supplies and the attack at Pearl Harbour. You entered the war in self interest, we entered it in defence of our allies. The fact is that America is still an empire - and so are we when we side with you. But trust me...

I think the point of the top comment mentioning Katie Price and Kanye West is that it's pathetic that people are looking to them as role models - as opposed to true role models like David Beckham. Am I the only one who understands that?

@GoalieRealmUSA Ah, the joys of argument with someone who can't form an opinion and express it without resorting to swearing. Oh, and by the way, using quotation marks for the word "soccer" is grammatically correct as it's not a word we'd use in the UK or Europe - only discussing with people from the USA, most of whom I'm glad to say are much more of an advert for their country than you. Please read my comment properly before replying, as you clearly had some trouble the last time.

"we have about 50% of the world's wealth but only 6.3% of its population...Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity...we will have to dispense with all sentimentality and day-dreaming; and our attention will have to be concentrated everywhere on our immediate national objectives. We need not deceive ourselves that we can afford today the luxury of altruism and world-benefaction." Owned :)

@GoalieRealmUSA Our soldiers are fighting for wealthy and influentual people, not me and you. They say they are fighting Taliban in Afghanistan, but everybody knows that Taliban fighters are being trained in Pakistan. Same thing happened with Iraq and WMDs - we were lied to. I hate the fact that people expect you to support our troops no matter what. It would've be different if they were fighting white people instead of arabs, that for sure.

Becks is going too political at the end of this interview. What the hell is he talking about? Our boys are fighting afghanis to protect us? From what exactly? They are doing great job, I give them that, but the reason behind whole invasion is just wrong. David, please talk more about football or your family, but don't get involved into politics.
