For option buyer increase in iv after taking position will increase the profit but for option seller it's opposite. Eg: option buyer get double benifit if market goes up and iv also increases where as it's opposite for option seller

Events like quarterly results, budget, etc makes the IV shoot up(& hence IV percentile) and after the event the IV collapses. Traders sell options when IV percetile is like 80% and exit when the IV come to lower values.

I remember the days you were going for upgrade. Special appreciation and love to your digital and technical team too. Sir, 1. After the knowledge of IV and Greek knowledge, is it good to go and buy the option. 2. Can you just give the knowledge on how to buy the option in detail request. We all know you have the legacy and charge for the option sell and critical knowledge of option sell adjustments. Request to take few examples on buy option in index and stock request.

no, IV tends to build up prior to an event due to speculation. And generally collapse after the event
