the xyz calibration will fail if the machine is stealth mode. reboot, say no to the wizzard, and go into settings and click mode to change it back into normal mode.

Did you assemble E3D Hot End assembly? If so, Check the whole height. It should be 62.3 mm. If not, correct it. OR, You can lower #define Z_MAX_POS value in firmware and upload.

@@Polomaniac86 Michael Kraus You won't believe me. I have this headache for 3 weeks, first I thought pinda, readjusted it 2 times. Then reasembled x axis, changed idler bearing, belt tensions, tried reseting the printer settings a few times, then changed to a new pinda. But it was the same, stucking on xyz calibration. I almost give up and went for a holidays, but then I analyzed and found a new 3.9 beta firmware. I installed that beta and woho miracle happened. XYZ calibration done from the first time !!! Now it works like new.

You. Changed the flex plate. It should use only the original.
