How ironic to see a group of British cadets playing one of Prussia's finest marches. You all play it very well! I was only missing the familiar Parademarsch der Spielleute and Lockmarsch that's normally performed prior to a German marching song. Love from Canada!

There are melodies, that sound always well, and the PG is just one of them. No matter who plays it, be it German, British or even Japanese band. The 'Glory' has since become not only Prussian, but simply German. Well done!! 👍🇵🇱♍

Music IS great, but 'proportion' a bit not. Too much 'noise' from drums and melody hardly audible. It happens, I know the march very well and like it very much anyway. This version reminds me of the Pfeifenreiter-Musikverein, i.e. regular WHISTLING band of German cavalrymen. I heard the story once on the radio, read by an actor from a book. Could have such a band ever existed in Germany??

There were several German Monarchs on the British throne; one of them - HM the King George V - was called German Butcher during WW1; in 1917 he created or set up the new dynasty of Windsors. Became namesake to a dreadnought battleship still alive. His Queen was HM THE Queen Mary.

@@deadalus1000 : You’re missing the point. The fife and drums version of “Preussens Gloria” is an official part of the military march repertoire of the so-called “British Army”, and is used as the regimental march of one of the Guards infantry regiments. You can even find here on KZfaq, a video of the 1976 “Trooping the Colour” ceremony, where a particularly good rendition of the march was played, as the Queen completed her review of the regiments, and they began to file out of the parade ground, to begin their march-past under the balcony of Buckingham Palace. All very tasteful stuff, performed by one of the most unsavory state-sponsored terrorist criminal organizations to ever exist upon the earth.
