Music IS great, but 'proportion' a bit not. Too much 'noise' from drums and melody hardly audible. It happens, I know the march very well and like it very much anyway. This version reminds me of the Pfeifenreiter-Musikverein, i.e. regular WHISTLING band of German cavalrymen. I heard the story once on the radio, read by an actor from a book. Could have such a band ever existed in Germany??

Well, if you want Prussian inspired uniforms, look towards Chile and Sweden. If you want Prussian drill and ceremonies, look towards Germany. Unfortunately you can't quite have both in the same place.

You can even find here on KZfaq, a video of the 1976 “Trooping the Colour” ceremony, where a particularly good rendition of the march was played, as the Queen completed her review of the regiments, and they began to file out of the parade ground, to begin their march-past under the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
