Ok so, I never tried Moonlight because of my shitty computer. It detects the back touchpad? Because if that's the case, dang, I'm interested.

How the hell is this so smooth? Mine runs like shit! Followed every advice online and no help! I'm standing right next to the modem with gigabit internet on my PC!!!!

As long as your pc is connected to your modem with a cable, and your router isnt dogshit, you should be getting buttery smooth gameplay

My PC is wired to the router and I also have gigabit fiber which helps, though I don't think it exceeds more than 10mbps upload on my PC. Make sure you lower the bitrate too if you haven't already.

@@Terszel my pc is connected to ethernet and my download and upload speeds are at 80 each, but moonlight is still pretty bad

@@Terszel it isnt. also i tried it out last night with an increased bitrate and a lower res and it was working pretty well. before i had it at 5000 bitrate at 720p, i lowered it to the res of the ps vita screen and increased the bitrate to 8000 and its much better

Don't have a gaming pc yet but i do have a hacked vita (2000) and I've been wondering whether i should get a vita grip with L2, R2, L3 and R3 or get a switch-like Android controller like the Ipega pg-9167 and use Moonlight on my phone instead. The vita's screen does look good at 540p I'm not so sure about my phone's 720p screen, since it might make it look blurrier or something on top of maybe having more latency/lag, since it's got a higher resolution). So, which option would you choose and why? Thanks in advance.

Oh btw my phone unfortunately doesn't have 5ghz wifi so it'd have to be 2.4 like with the vita, but idk if the actual machine's specs matter. I assume it'd work better on a phone since the vita's so old and the wifi chipset might be a bit outdated but I have no idea. Have you tried both at home to see which one runs better with the same wifi?

@@JGB_iw @JGB I have a video testing it out on my old phone (galaxy note 4). It runs better on that but it does have 5ghz wifi. I had to set the bitrate on the vita to 6mbps I believe while I could do 10mbps on my phone (so it looks clearer on my phone) If you have a bluetooth controller (like xbox or ps4) I recommend testing that out first before committing to buying a separate controller. It's possible that the Bluetooth connection will degrade the wifi performance (especially at 2.4ghz since they'll be sharing the same band) in that case the vita might be better if you can get past the controls (honestly I'd say it depends on the game, dark souls I would say is manageable)

@@deadlykiller27 I see, not sure why I completely forgot to factor in the Bluetooth latency and all lol Btw, do you happen to have/know any vita grip with both L2R2 and L3R3 that's decent and isn't the Hori one? The prices I've seen are all around €200 and I'm not so sure about the Top Player one after watching Tech Savvy Buyer's review. Thanks in advance!

@@JGB_iw the Bluetooth latency would probably not be noticeable just might affect your WiFi performance. Unfortunately I am not aware of any vita grips with that, the one I have is just the original trigger buttons. If you have a ps4/xbox controller I would suggest a usb otg cable and getting a controller clip for like 10 bucks on Amazon. It'll be cheaper and higher quality than anything else (might not be as comfortable though) If your phone has usb-c (sounds like it might not if it only has 2.4ghz) then the Razer kishi controller would be a good choice.

@@deadlykiller27 Forgot to reply here back in late December, when I finally got my PC and the chance to try this out. Anyway, hope this helps someone make their decision. DISCLAIMER: Given we're in a pandemic, I've only had the chance to try this near my home so I can't really say how well it works when far from it. Also, your mileage will probably vary quite a bit depending on your wifi/mobile data speed. As expected, Bluetooth does tank 2.4 wifi speed significantly but not - or at least not so much - mobile data speed. Probably since it's from a cellular network, I guess. Fortunately, I just happen to have unlimited data on my phone and wanted this for outside home streaming anyway. After trying both Moonlight and Parsec I have to say Moonlight just runs better after fiddling with the settings for a bit. I only have 4G so it's either 480p 60fps or 720p 30fps, but I don't mind 480p since it's a small screen. It still has occasional but small framedrops but it's fine unless you're playing shooters, I guess (which I don't play myself). Latency is acceptable I'd say. Also, keep in mind 480p is not available on Parsec: lowest res is 1024x768 and 2nd lowest is 720p. As for the vita goes (using my phone's 4G hotspot, though), it did work but worse and with occasional disconnects. It's also hard to fit in most pockets and even if it fits I wouldn't like to break those joysticks from the pocket pressure or whatever. In other words: at that point you'd want to carry it in a case, therefore in a bag, and if I'm taking a bag I'd rather just bring my controller and phone clip with me and use Moonlight on my phone instead. Hope this helps someone out and hf playing your games over the internet!
