Thank you mate - I really enjoyed it, it's not often I catch you on live stream as I'm usually doing my errands ha ha but when I saw you were live I jumped on. Will definitely have to stop by more often :) 👍

@@AndrewPaul haha to be honest I didn't think you knew about my stuff, but nice to see you do. There's a lot of people on my stream hold a lot of respect for you, me included! I'm sure a lot of people are going to be happy to see you back 😁🥳

Cheers mate - yeah I've been subbed to you for a while now, I'm a big fan of your work and I love the fact you just don't give up on things and see them through to the end. Brill work tonight! 👍

@@AndrewPaul that's good to hear mate, genuinely appreciate that. I think we definitely need to love what we do to have the motivation to keep going even when it looks bleak. I did screw up a bit tonight but it's one of those days I guess. It can be quite painstaking on those tiny BGA chips really. I'd sooner rather reball a southbridge by hand over those glass chips lol

@@AndrewPaul sab-001motherboard, Console power down on 2 second. I read dump for patch UART. Interesting, after validate dump by validate, no errors, but number firmware is n/a. On UART log (Error) AmdInitSecure 0*5 Then console shut down. What this mean?

Doing one of these now and when I got it apart I saw the resistor and capacitor that's right behind the port missing. Do you know the values of these components?

Hey Andrew, first of all, thanks for the video. What a bad solder the previous guy did on that HDMI Port XD And one question: What flux are you using? This stuff works like a charm!

Hi, it's Amtech NC-559-V2-TF

@@AndrewPaul yeah, would be very helpful. I bought a pretty good priced soldering and hot air soldering station, followed by some flux, which might be antec replica, but it does not work very well. Or my temperatures are wrong. At what temp do you solder the pads under the decoder chip? The solder seems to only stick to the top of the iron, without creating any bridges. Like magic :-D
@AndrewPaul3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm using 490C @ 100l/min typically to solder these using my Quick 861DW station. Flux is definitely a big factor however, some of the fake stuff is more or less petroleum jelly ha ha! Definitely can advise trying to find the legit stuff if you can as it can make all the difference for tricky packages like these.
