ps4 samsung ssd vs hdd noise test to see how much noise they each make. and also to see how fast I can spawn in a match.
The music I use is royalty free pro scores from video co pilot which I purschased my self

Lol that just figured out my sound "problems" on my new laptop. Some people talking that this isn't normal but i have a ssd and hdd too and i only get this 2 noises and a quiet fan so all is fine i'm happy to saw your vid!

The clunking or rattling sound is funny. I installed SSD on my PS4 two days ago, and I suspect that it is the fan that makes noise, occasionally especially when I update software prior playing it, not the SSD.

My ps4 slim fan seems to be making a clicking noise, but I’m not sure if it’s my hdd or my fan, it’s like grinding, it seems like it’s coming from the fan area though

Laptop hard drives are not something you would normally hear them working inside of an enclosed ps4, even if you close to it since the fans will drown out the noise anyways (or the disk drive)

Thank god its the hdd. I thought it's my psu because they are very close place in my pc case. It only happens when opening an app or loading heavily.

My xbox one one s hdd has just started to make that crackling sound only when i turn it on & off, is that normal, plus i can hear my hdd spin whenever i play a game but stop when i quit the game thnks 😀

yeah it's normal, it's just the hdd arm reading and writing stuff to the disk

PS4 was nice and quite with stock HDD, upgraded to SSD and for some reason the system has a high pinched whistle when playing games, not all the time but off and on.... put the stock HDD back in and no more whistling ... I know it's not the SSD itself making the noise, I tried a hybrid drive as well, same whistling

The CPU is overworked, the SSD basically allows the CPU go translate data faster. The CPU gets hotter and the fans get so fast they whistle. I think I'm gonna send the SSD back. The CPU can't handle it.

The SSD makes the PS4 run WAY LOUDER when playing a game... The CPU reads data faster and the CPU gets hotter. The fans get SO LOUD.

Does a loud cooling of the ps4 have sth to do with the hdd? I cleaned everything and put new paste on but still after a few weeks the fan is extremely loud. But the air coming out is very ccol. Could it be because of the hdd getting too hot?

Imagine a few years later when games are loading forever then the ssd is way faster i think.

In a few years games will take longer to load and will also look better. that is where the SSD shines. But imagine if the PS4 had Sata III the SSD would be much much faster. I can only dream of such day!

I know an SSD is way faster on a PC then a HDD. When i replace my PS4 HDD with a Solid State, will my movies load any faster? ( appart from game saves ) Just wondering... Nice video Juan!

No, that disc drive read/write speed, you may see a slightly faster image load time as the ssd processor images faster

Seagate Firecuda 2tb Gaming SSHD [ST2000LX001] best sshd for a much lower price than ssd. And its good enough for ps4 because it cant actually fully utilize an ssd so

Man I don’t know. While HDDs obviously make some noise, it isn’t normally this bad. You would usually hear a spinning disk only without the clicking, scratching or whatever this was. This might have been an old drive.
