The series S is probably the most surprising I'm impressed with what this console can do

I went through phases. Indifferent. Impatient. Desperate. Acceptance.

3 months later and I still can’t find an Xbox series X for sale in stores. Hopefully I can get one before the PlayStation 6 comes out.

I got lucky and was able to get the series X. I love it, I got game pass and am drowning in games. I hope everyone can get a PS5 or Series X soon that wants one.

I was playing Guilty Gear Strive on ps4 today and was truly astounded at how good that game looks, sounds and plays. I can wait a while for a ps5.

To me the biggest leap we've had is the one from ps2 to ps3, that to me was incredible

I haven’t been able to find a PS5 (yet), but I love my Series X so far. 🎮

I got lucky and was able to finance a Series X through Microsoft with two years of Game Pass. I’m still a stickler for physical media, and buy games that aren’t on game pass in physical format. For years I didn’t understand the Xbox, I was a Sony loyalists and preferred Japanese game design, and while I still do, the Xbox Series X has opened me up to other genres. I’ve rekindled my love for racing games with titles like Forza Horizon 4, Forza 7, F1 2020, Grid, and Dirt 5. Shooters like Halo MCC, Doom Eternal, and COD Black Ops are fantastic as well. The controller is brilliant, the visuals are phenomenal at times. I still want a PS5, but the Series X has left me impressed.

I won't lie, the main reason I got a PS5 was to play PS4 games without a jet engine going off. I love how quiet the PS5 is.

Not many new games coming out right now, but having played on the Series X for a few months (got lucky, picked it up at a local store), I have to say that I'm enjoying games so much more now. To be able to boot up a game in a matter of seconds, along with all the improvements to my old games - it's great.

I got both series S and X. Both beautiful gaming consoles u can ever play on. Quick resume on both series needs to be talked about more. Games i haven't played for days i load where i left off. Graphics is literally chefs kiss in every single game playable on there. And i got both of them on offer up in my local area. Me and my girl love it. Xbox for the win. Hopefully everyone gets their system soon and cheap, I paid $1025...

I’ve always been a day one adopter for new consoles. This is the first time I chose to wait (not that I had much of a choice because of scarcity), but I’m really glad I did. I’m looking forward to getting a smaller, special edition PS5 with all the launch bugs worked out in the future.

Tbh apart from the backwards compatibility, my main issue is a lack of games. Bring on Ratchet & Clank, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7

We (fiancee and I) were of the lucky few to get our consoles at launch. We absolutely love them both. There has not been a single night since we picked them up from GameStop on the 10th and 12th of November that we have not played them. They are the best built consoles I have ever witnessed before in my life and I have been gaming for a very long time.

My wife got me a Ps5 for my birthday last week and it's incredible. I love the controller and how fast everything loads. I only have a few Ps5 games but everything looks great on it. Playing The Last of Us Par 2 right now and I'm blown away.

The Xbox series x is a beast! I bought mine at launch, haven’t had a single issue with it. Powers up fast, load super quick. It amazing!

Physical games doesn't just make sense from a nostalgic and collector's viewpoint, it's also financially prudent. My DS game collection alone can comfortably buy me a next gen console and a couple of games if I sold them, but I would have gotten nothing for them if I went all digital.

Gamepass is an app and you can use blutooth to connect your controller to your phone and play games off gamepass app on phone from anywhere. And your saves carry over and everything.

My guess is that as Game Pass gains traction, studios will start pulling their games so that they can have them for their own in-house subscription service, and eventually if you want the same amount of content you’re getting now you’ll have to subscribe to like 6 different services. That’s what happened with Netflix anyway.

Finally got the Series X last week! Playin Gears 5 and NBA 2K21, and my older games. HDR gaming is beautiful! Gears 5 is gorgeous! 4K 60fps! Quick resume! Can't wait to get the PS5 and more games!

My wife got me the Series X for Christmas and all I played was Out Run 2.

I bought my Series X knowing that it's more of an upgrade rather than a "new system" and I love it. The games that are enhanced look and ran amazing and everything feels snappier than it did on the Xbox One X. I don't think it's worth it to go out and grab one right now unless you know what you're getting into, but I'm glad to be safe and have my main system for the next few years

Got a PS5 and it is my first PS. No problems whatsoever. Playing many of the PS4 games I missed out on; having a blast. Wish it wasn’t so big and the stand could be longer being I travel with this.

I'm not jumping through hoops like a trained dog to get a fucking video game console, especially when there are little to no meaningful exclusives. I'll revisit the idea of purchasing a PS5 in a year or so.

Day 1 with Xbox Series X matched with a LG CX 48 TV and a Seagate 8TB drive for none XBSX games, plus GamePass Ultimate, not got a physical game since 2005. In an age of Covid-19 who wants to go into a store or have to wait for the parcel to open while its in quarantine. The backwoods compatibility is amazing and works better and looks better than previous gen. Destiny 2 running PVP at 120 or 60 in PVE with 105 field of view is amazing. We have not even started taking advanced of next gen features. If your in the Xbox eco system get one as soon as you can. GRIPES: 1) I dont have enough time to play all my games + keep up with Destiny 2. 2) The Xbox Elite 2, and the PlayStation 5 new controller are both cursed with the same stick shift problem because they use the same cheap component.

I have both the PS5 and the Series X, and kept the One X for last gen coop and cartoony titles I don’t need to waste hours on the new XSX for. It took me about 50 attempts combined to find the 2 next gen systems (scored at Kohls and Antonline) I sincerely hope everyone watching gets lucky! Best of luck to all. I’ll admit at the e d of the day, there are still few TRUE next gen titles to behold, so don’t feel too bad about it.

2:20 I put a post of Reddit about the poor design of the stand and was lambasted by people jumping to the defence of Sony or plain telling me I should just be grateful to have a console in the first place. I completely agree with you here

I've been enjoying both consoles. Improved performance on last gen titles has encouraged me to revisit some favorites.

To be fair we haven't seen true ps5 and series titles yet. Just cross-platform and optimized games

The PS5 isn't going anywhere soon and I have a backlog of PS4 games that I haven't played yet, so I can wait. No rush!

Im not in a rush. There is really not enough there to justify buying either.

I still have so many PS4 games I've bought and haven't even put the disc in my system yet. I think I'll try to wait on a PS5 refresh that has a larger drive.

I like both of them a lot more than last gens consoles. The PS5 controller is so awesome with the triggers and feedback. Load times make a huge difference. I used to spend more time turning on my PS4 and watching it update then playing it.

I'm in Australia and have been a console player for all my life, 27 years.. But because if all this madness I caved in and brought a pc.. instead of waiting months for sub par performance and spent the money and brought a fairly decent gaming computer... I'm quite glad with my constant 150+ fps in cod so I can't complain.

you know, I've never been in less of a hurry to upgrade to the next console. My PS4 pro is still a great machine. The games looks great, the library is vast, and I just see no reason to upgrade. Eventually I will I suppose, but I'm just not even close to it yet.

I agree. The stand is only great when it's in Vertical mode. Good luck then putting the disc the right way.

God of War and Ghost of Tsushima in 4k 60fps is worth the PS5 alone. Absolutely tranforms the experience of those games... Especially God of War. Incredible.

I was so annoyed I missed out on getting a PS5. But to be honest I don't really care anymore as there isn't a whole lot to play on it at the minute. I can wait a while longer.

I think this is first generation, I'll probably wait till the next iteration of the PS5/XboxSX. The only thing that really tempts me about getting one earlier is the backwards compatible features.

I am loving the ps5 having migrated all my ps4 stuff over, the Spotify integration is cool. Not many games yet but GoW Ragnarok, FF16 and RE8 are three of my most anticipated games. After all the months' effort of snagging one I am enjoying it more than I would otherwise. Definitely a pretty weak launch lineup, but I do love the ps4 upgrades like 60 fps or 4k in several titles. My external ssds not needing formatted between ps4 and ps5 is a big plus.

I absolutely love my ps5 it’s amazing. Higher frame rates with the graphical fidelity at a higher resolutions. Or being able to go back to ps4 games that have unlocked frame rates look absolutely stunning.

Just got a PS4 two years ago, plenty to play I can wait a while for a PS5.

Absolutely loving my series X with game pass. Main thing for me is quick resume. It's so fast.

My theory is they wanted everyone to go digital with ps5 so they made the real design digital only and then panicked last minute and added the disc drive. Hence the digital being symmetrical. Probably why the disc ps5 had the most issues (noisy drives, crashing etc.)

The worrying thing about any subscription service is that they hike the price over time once you are invested.

I got my Xbox Series X for backwards compatibility AND the Dev mode is just awesome. So happy with it. Spend most time in Dev Mode in RetroArch.

I remember when the N64 came out and only had 4-5 games. Only had Mario 64 and Star Wars to get me through, but what a great time I had!

I am one of the lucky few to have been able to order the Series X on day one. I am moving up from the Xbox One X. I have to say, I am VERY happy with my Series X. It's so fast and buttery smooth. I first played AC Valhalla and, like the PS5, there was screen tearing. Noticeable. I found out later that Ubisoft had gotten a PS5 a year before they got the Series X to work with. So there is still a LOT of power left to be tapped. That being said...wow, does it look amazing. And load times are quite noticeably short as well. What takes 15-20 seconds to load on my One X takes 5 seconds on my Series X. After Valhalla I played Titanfall 2 and man...just incredibly fast and smooth. Load times were seconds. After that, I played Mass Effect 1 (to remember what the graphics looked like before I get the Legendary edition). Load times are literally 2-3 seconds. Like...fast travel? 2-3 seconds. Load a saved game? 2-3 seconds. It's so fast that if I died or wanted to try something different that it wasn't a bother at all to just load another game. But the funny thing is that the elevator rides are still 20-30 seconds long. The programmers knew the load times on the original 360/PS3 versions would be 25-30 seconds so they hid that with the elevators. But really, with the Series X, the level is loaded 28 seconds before the elevator ride finishes. Pretty funny. So...that is a long way of saying I'm very satisfied with my purchase. However, those who didn't get it, until games made specifically for the Series X/S come out, there is no need to be too bothered. Yes, the load times and performance are great, but it's not like I have games I can ONLY play on this system. Fingers crossed for you guys.

Got back into God of War and it’s amazing. The visual are incredible and the load screens are very quick.

To anyone that’s super frustrated about next gen console availability: have patience. My ps5 has demons souls and it’s great. But now the ps5 is in the shop for repairs. And I’m on my second controller in two months.

I never had PS4 so PS5 has been well worth it, in a month I’ve played Spider-Man, miles, god of war, Astro, last of us, ff7. Controller is amazing. Series X offered nothing new at all, no need to get one yet.

I was lucky to be able to order my series x on launch day. Had it since mid Dec. Haven't been able to secure a PS5. Not really upset for the lack of games because I've been playing through my backlog from last Gen. They look and play so much smoother. I never knew I needed quick resume in my life until I got it. I was always playing one game at a time. Now I play several at a time and keeps me from getting burned out on one title. Probably played through more games in 2 1/2 months than I have in the last 3 years. Hopefully both consoles are available for everyone soon.

I'm loving my Series X. The performance boost alone makes it worth the money. I've been subscribed to GamePass since the beginning and that's a damn good service. GamePass hasn't really affected my collecting. If I play a game on GamePass and I end up really liking it, I'll buy the physical copy down the line. I love the Medium. The second it gets a physical release I'll be picking it up. For me, it was worth the upgrade.

I'm late but I love the xbox SX. Mainly quick resume, I play about 4/5 games at once and its just so nice.

This might be a dumb question but I’m new to Xbox and was wondering if I buy the game pass for a dollar and then put my 3 month card on right after does that make it last for 4 months?
