Really depends on the biome. It sucks in biome 4 but biome 5 it shines. Biome 6 there's too many enemies in most rooms to make good use of it

This is the "bow and arrow" weapon of returnal...but the arrow ricochets :D Retarget and Enhanced Charge traits are required on this imho
