We are an architecture and construction company in Chile, and we have used Unreal Engine for a long time and it is the best for real-time visualization 😁 The preview versions of Unreal 5 were already spectacular and the best thing is the lighting - Lumion really changed everything. It's great that this is being talked about not only in games but also in movies and other experiences like ours... There are plenty of tutorials to learn ❤ we did it that way. Out of fear... to learn it!

First a highly detailed asset is made. Then a low res version of it. The details of the high resolution model is then baked or projected on to the low resolution model for it to seem like highly detailed but being light on your computer at the same time. This is manually done and is boring and time consuming. Technical term for this is retopology and baking. Unreal now claims to do that for you maybe, which has me super stoked

IGN doesn't encode their videos correctly either, so it looks even worse watching this great video on their not so great KZfaq Channel; GameSpot and other Channels upload this content using correct encoding techniques if you want to watch at superior quality, especially when stuck at 480p.
