If you look at my USJ build video it’s gonna be about the same. Only difference is raw is a little worse than it used to be. Water spread with USJ bow and dragon spread with valstrax are very strong. For other element I would use rapid or pierce though

@@LyonOlivier69 thanks I will switch to rapid was it change during the updates ? Because I thought spread should be the strongest shot type if played well It was on switch and pc a year ago

@@ghost_1306 it is for dragon and water because both valstrax bow and usj bow are very good. However, chameleos bow that was very strong everywhere else isn’t nearly as strong as it used to be. They nerfed raw damage by a significant amount in sunbreak, and this nerf made it to the console version even though you don’t have sunbreak yet…

Thanks for the comment! That move is called Herculean draw, that’s your main silkbind attack. It gives you a 10% raw boost for 30 sec, but also is often use for positioning or evading. In rise that’s your only silkbind in the first slot, so you always have it equipped!

Same, I dabbled with a few weapons in World but I kept going back to the bow. It's a very rough start here, I mainly used dual blades to get to high rank and even now, the bow doesn't feel nearly as strong as in World, such a shame since I get bored with the other weapons quickly (and I suck at using them xD).

@@Bl4ckH4nd Bow still sucks until you unlock the Arena quests to get the Mighty Bow Feather. Then your gear is helmet locked until Sunbreak MR, where you'll need to beat the story before the decoration is unlocked. It's a 4 slot deco that you'll always need. In Rise, rapid raw bow still seems to be the easiest and best way. Pierce has some matchups. In Sunbreak, you can switch more to elemental based bows and I personally only use spread bows now. In MHW, i played around with a bunch of weapons, but in Rise/SB, I've pretty much just stuck with bow once it got better. I don't have the urge to play the other weapons much.

@@garylai363 Thanks for the info, I'll have a look at some good Rapid Raw bows. I'm just not great with other weapons, dual blades are fun and I've always liked the Switch Axe but I can't play with it ^^

@@Bl4ckH4nd I think it's a good idea to play around with some different shot types. If you're just progressing through Rise, you can build whatever and just play around. However, the end game rapid bows for Rise are almost all Rampage bows, which makes it a bit boring. Certain pierce bows are fun against some enemies. For example, pierce dragon you can build the insect bow or make a rampage bow, and it's good for Ibushi and Narwha. Making all those rampage bows is tedious though.

Stick with endgame build once you finish story. The bows in this video are just easier to make and finish the story with but then get outclassed

Yes they are very good gloves. If you can use them and still have all the important skills it’s good

There are endgame bow builds yea, including endgame builds from the patch that’s going to drop on console. No progression builds yet but I’m planning on making it shortly before release

That’s very surprising. Although magnamalo arm blade hit bow is very weird once it’s broken so sometimes it can seem like you hit it but you actually hit his hand which is not a weak point. Not sure about teostra though

@@LyonOlivier69 This wasn’t a problem on switch but on xbox all 45s have been white for me even tobi’s head though 55+ works like rajang head. I hope its a bug and not a nerf 🥲

I’ve had the same experience. It’s been driving me crazy trying to figure out whether or not this was intended. Plus it limits your damage output. I haven’t found any info on why this would be. Have you? @J’Kalo X

Tu peux jouer spread bien sur. Surtout pour l’eau et dragon qui ont de très bon arc spread. Pour la progression rapide est sympa car il y a de bonnes armures facile à faire mais en endgame tu as plus de choix. En dehors de eau et dragon les arc spread sont bof par contre

You can probably make it work but it’s not ideal. Crit eye 4 is ok but it’s nothing compared to normal up 3. You’re also missing stamina surge and will be missing the last charge level on your bow. If you can make it work it’s fine but I’m afraid it’s going to be a little light on damage

Normal/rapid up works with any coatings. So both power and close range are good

For progression yea cause it’s easy to craft and rampage bows aren’t fully upgradable yet. Once you reach endgame all rapid bows are rampage

no, it's a 6 star village mat. So it is low rank, but it's one of the last monster in the village in low rank

Yea I would recommend using discord servers maybe to find other people. The way they did the online is very odd and it’s hard to find people

@@ARod3 you can look for people’s quest online but it doesn’t work well

normal shot followed by 2 power shots is the best for stam conversion, but in real fights if you are not comfortable with bow yet even normal shot dodge normal shot works and its much safer. i can also recommend a single point of latent power skill for beginners. This skill kicks in after a certain time when you are in a battle and the more you hit the monster the quicker it activates. once its activated you get a huge boost on stamina regen with that you can mostly spam without fear of running out of stamina

I would recommend switching to my recommended at least when you get to low rank 4*. Before that guild crossing is more than fine

I’m back, I just beat magnamalo and trying to craft the strikebow II but it’s saying its not unlocked like theres 3 question marks did I miss something?

@@TheMythRay if you can’t craft it, it means you’re missing key materials. Iirc for this bow you need low rank goss Harag materials, so try to kill him to unlock the upgrade path

Thé only other source of mighty bow in sunbreak is a decoration that you only get in endgame so I’d say so. Part of the progression in sunbreak uses a bow that has 4 charge by default but you’ll need the feather at some point

You’re probably on Xbox. There is currently a visual bug that shows white number on 45 hzv. It’s just visual, so don’t worry it doesn’t affect your damage afaik

Monster hunter usually have 3 ranks. Low rank, high rank. And master rank (called G rank in the old games). You don’t have access to master rank yet; it’s in the upcoming expansion. Low rank is the entire village, and 1,2 and 3 star at the hub. High rank is 4 star and above at the hub

@@LyonOlivier69 Thank you for replying so fast, so i should focus on clearing village entirely, then go to hub 1-2-3, and so on no? i managed to craft 7 unique bows so now i have aerial, ive been doing the game with the bow, because i want to get used to playing it now since everyone tells me its hard, so later on it just gets easier because i will be used to it, thanks a lot bro

@@neirogamboa8811 i would do the village yea, some quests there give you more food option which are important for bow. Once you finish village you can directly start hub in high rank too, you won’t have to redo the hub low rank

No, they are just easier to craft for progression

For progression i don't recommend any decoration since most are locked/hard to do before finishing the story. If you have you can try to craft and slot tenderizer. If you're past the final boss, i have a meta build video for endgame posted a few days ago

Tenderizer is your first priority, and elemental deco in lv1 slots. If you’re past the final boss I just posted an endgame video

Yes but in progression you don’t have easy access to all the ramp up skills. Anjanath is just a nice easy bow to craft. In endgame all the rapid bows are rampage anyways

If you’re in base rise, Herculean is your default wire bug and you don’t have alternative in this slot so it doesn’t show in the bow. You always have access to it and can’t swap it off until sunbreak

It’s your default switch skill, you can’t change or replace it. So whatever your other switch kill button is (aerial aim and focus shot) that’s the other button

Spread and rapid serve the same purpose. Spread does a bit more damage but rapid is easier. Pierce is only good on some fights. So find out if you you prefer rapid or spread and only craft those. And when you need pierce for a specific matchup, craft those ones. It’s still a lot of work, but that’s how it is in rise

@@LyonOlivier69 Sorry for late reply. So, for usual hunt either rapid or spread isnt? and i can made all elemental bow for them. Then pierce is when im in situational like when i need to slay ibushi/narwa then i can craft pierce dragon bow? actually i have enough experience using pierce and spread light bowguns so it is better for me to use spread or pierce bows?

You get a rampage quest halfway through 5* that gives it. If you don’t have it yet, do more 5* quests

It’s your base wire bug. You can’t remove it, it’s by default. It won’t appear in your switch skill list because there isn’t another option

Are you on Xbox? There is a visual bugs on some weak points where it shows white numbers. It’s a visual bug tho it’s still does normal damage

@@FWayfinder no Herculean draw is literally the switch skill you start with on a brand new save. It’s normal if you don’t see it, in base rise you don’t have alternatives so it doesn’t show in the menu. It’s your only primary silkbind you can’t have another one yet

- every monster will take different damage - make sure you have the right food skills (marksman, fighter, booster) - make sure you drink your damage buffs (demo powder, might seed and light powder) - make sure you’re using the right coatings - make sure you use the right shot type deco ( spread for spread, forceshot for rapid, pierce for pierce)

@@LyonOlivier69 i'm not so sure about that, when i go to the blacksmith the only bow from Kadachi's tree that appears it's the first one, when i put my mouse on top of the next bow it doens't appear nothing.

@@DJIgorNSOFC look online for the mats needed. When the game doesn’t show you anything it means you’re missing a key materials. It’s not even necessarily from Tobi kadachi, it could be a insect or a mineral you haven’t gathered yet
