We recently sent some of our Enchanted Cards off to PSA for grading, and wanted to share with you some of the process, as well as some things to be aware of when considering grading your cards.

Cool informative video. Would've been cool to see what the damage on the Elsa card actually was. I'm considering grading mine, so I'd loved the visual comparison.

Sorry about that! The main issue with Elsa was the scratch you can see at 03:46. It’s not visible to the naked eye, but was enough to put her at a 9.

Very nice video! How much did Choose your grading charge per assessment? I’m in NJ and would love to find a service like this

Glad you enjoyed the video! Choose your Grading only charges for the assessment IF you decide NOT sending the card, after they assess it. When that’s the case, you pay $5 Canadian dollar per card. So far they been quite spot on with the grades they think a card will get. Thanks for the comment!

If you had a Lorcana card signed by the artist do you get it graded? if so do you do just card or card + autograph? trying to figure out if my custom signed and doodle cards are better graded or just put into one touch if i plan to keep.

We’ve never had a signed card graded. But I know PSA offers a service to grade the card and authenticate the signature at the same time. For us, we’d be tempted to grade because we find it neat thing to have, but it’s just a personal preference.

curious to know why TAG was omitted? not a large enough company to bring in resell value? i think objective computer based grading makes more sense than being at the mercy of a person who might be having a bad day at work lol

Great question! To be honest, the ones we covered are really just the most well known companies from our conversations in the Lorcana community. Name recognition of course helps a lot with resale. There are others, including TAG who might have better methods for grading, but ultimately name recognition means a lot. Even looking at TAG’s database of what has graded in terms of Lorcana, it’s a very limited number of cards.

How much is the cost gor each card?

Usually there is a flat fee for cards up to a certain value (we paid around $30CAD). For more expensive cards, the cost increases based on the card value.
