It's basically only good if you don't miss. Also, the closer you are to the boss you're fighting, the faster your fire rate

The harpoon is awkward and very limited in terms of range, but it can actually push out some respectable DPS if you hit all your shots against close targets.

@@DeezNuts-bq1mp Mmm... No, I don't think boomerangs usually do more damage the closer you are to an enemy. Could be wrong though, only ever really used them in Zelda myself.

@@andyoats i think they are referring to Terraria's boomerangs, since both the harpoon and boomerangs have an "Increased fire rate" if hitting at close range

Hmm idk. If it pierced enemies by default you wouldn't be able to get up to your enemy and rapid fire. Maybe if it also got a damage buff?

@@CompanyEggs, What if you could recall it by clicking again? That way you could pierce the enemy and instantly call it back to maximize your damage output. The weapon would require actual timing skills to make it work.

The best part of the Harpoon gun is that its projectile is an upgrade to a bow, without having to make ammo for it. Even though I think there should be some Harpoon upgrade mod that adds things like giving the gun a Hellstone spearhead…

If you have a PS3 you can get the original trilogy from the PS Store but it's probably shut down. R&C 2016 isn't good, it butchers the original personality of Ratchet but making him more nerdy than a 16 who wants to get straight into the action and try to make a name for himself.
