I feel like people complaining about owls being useless just, categorically miss the point of critters in this game. They’re not really supposed to be that useful.

Btw, owls sell for like 11 or 14(sry I can’t remember) silver, so I have this weird habit to just chase them across the map with a bug net and sell them as if I were a mass owl trafficker. But the extra cash is kind of worth it early game.

when I've read "mass owl trafficker" I just imagined a guy opening a trench coat, and it's full of owls. And I mean a number of owls that sould be physically impossible to fit inside.

If they didn’t have the most high quality audio imaginable I wouldn’t have a problem. But when their near-perfect surround sound calls reach my ears, half of the time I take off my headphones like an idiot because I thought I heard something.

I use critters in early game to capture and sell them off to the merchant for a suprising amount of silver per critter. Who knew that terraria encourages animal trafficing? The more exotic the animal the more they pay also.
