Years ago, early in my walk with Christ the Lord gave me this Psalm as He walked with me through a major trial. He used this Psalm to change my life. Literally. Here at the end of the world I find it again to be a comfort. Thanks for this message.

Thank you so much for your dedication to sharing the gospel, your obedience to where God called you, and for sharing your Godly gift with us. For years I searched for good commentary and finally my college age son shared Enduring Word( he was introduced at school). Through you, God has opened my eyes to so many new things in the word and it has helped deepen my walk with the Him. Its almost like reading it for the first time. I love connecting Jesus to the Old and New Testament, taking me deeper and deeper. Enduring Word shares so many cross references. It's just amazing. An added blessing.... Charles Spurgeon commentary! You are such a blessing from the Lord. :)♡

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (October 31, Reformation Day), this was our Psalm of the Day. On February 20, 2017, my mother entered the Church Triumphant. This was read at her funeral by the Baptist minister of a local Baptist Church where she grew up in and where she was baptized and where she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Redeemer. HERE I STAND. I CAN DO NO OTHER: Martin Luther.

Thank you for your teaching. That has helped me to understand the psalm better. I have never heard anyone explain what God meant when he said “Be still” like that before. The psalm is an encouragement, and a challenge, especially to those like myself who are prone to worry and think negatively. I like your point about God’s grace, when he is referred to as the God of Jacob.

Thank you for your continual clear teaching in the Word. It has been such a blessing and encouragement in this past year. When it's easy to become discouraged because of all that is happening in the world, your steadfast pointing us to have confidence in the Lord has been a huge blessing. Thank you so much. God bless you continually.

A follow-up: Other Scriptures for Reformation Day are as follows: Jeremiah 31:31-34, Romans 3:19-28, and John 8:31-36. Maybe you can do a talk on these Scriptures in the future if you haven't done so already.

False messages from someone claiming to be Pastor Guzik are showing up. Can you do anything to clean those up? I'd ignore them but I'm also being harassed on my email by this person.

Carmel, we found one individual who was doing this and we blocked him. According to KZfaq, that means his comments should all disappear over the next few days. We have deleted the ones we have seen - but you can always let us know of a specific comment so we can see if it is the same person or another name or whatever. Sorry for the harassment, and blessings to you!

You are a great Bible teacher but Pastor I do pray that you not only believe in the Apostles creed but in the Apostles doctrine of salvation and that is found in Acts 2:38

And definitely in case an incitement from Ash-Shaytan (the all-vicious (one), i.e., the Devil) ever incites you, then seek refuge in Allah; surely He is Ever-Hearing, Ever-Knowing. Qur'an, 7:200; Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. - Proverbs 30:5
