Psalm 50 - Judgment Begins Among the People of God

Psalm 50 speaks about God coming to judge the earth and His people.
He speaks about rebuking their disobedience to His commands and the urgency to get right with Him.

I love the Historical details of your commentary. It continues and is current and not fake news as is circulating today. It makes me realize that Yahweh is control of History. I expect Jesus return soon. We shall be caught up!

Pastor David, thank you and we pray for you as you step up and teach us. We appreciate your teaching and the least we can do is pray God's protection for you. We pray that God will answer your prayers of Psalm 139 and pray for you that God will give you especial protection from the evil one and anything and everything he can throw at you. We pray that God will protect and keep you. We pray He surrounds you, keeps you safe and protects you from the roaring lion, that you continue to walk worthy of Him.

Yes Pastor David, I had been bearing fruits of repentance for a while before God came to me and by his Holy Spirit led me right into the arms of Jesus. Hallelujah! I was born again that night in my bedroom. I had been seeking God and truth while letting go of the sinful sins in my life. I gave up going to the bars, promiscuity, and marijuana. I'm so overjoyed that my name is written in the Lord's Book of Life. What a great message.

I'd be glad of your thoughts on this. I know I am saved, Praise God, but 'fear' Christ's judgement of believers. I have been faithless, backslidden for years, had wrong motives, not worked for him, have no fruit, buried my talents, wasted my life and opportunities, and the list goes on; I deeply regret and confess, asking His mercy and forgiveness. I can't change it and can only go forward with the aim and purpose of glorifying God in everything. But.... I'd appreciate your comments. Thank you.

Hi Sue, Sorry for the late reply. Yes, yes, yes!!! Go forward. You have acknowledged your sins, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all unrighteousness. We are forgiven in Jesus. Praise the Lord that you have a felt a holy conviction over your failings. That's a wonderful work of the Holy Spirit, showing you where you have been wrong. The convicting work of the Holy Spirit is to turn us around and back to God, and that is happening to you! So I agree with you. Leave the past in the past, walk in God's grave and forgiveness, and move forward with God!

Thank you for your reply and I'll continue to thank God, and you!, for your teaching and continue also to pray for you. I'm loving reading a Psalm each morning 'with you' and re- reading before bed.

You have to confess to a priest not to GOD because GOD knows what you did. Confessing to a priest is the right way. Jesus said to his apostles confess to each other
