Thank you Heavenly Father for this measured presentation of your caring love and amazing Grace in your perfect sacrifice as your Son lived out psalm 88 on the cross - for us - even as we shook our fists in his face

God sent me to you on a Monday morning by a bay in Queens New York to give me this word for the healing of my soul- I’ve been a victim of a smear campaign at work- everybody thinks I’m a racist and the people of this race want to burn me alive, but I look to God- He knows I didn’t say anything grotesque to deserve this treatment. I’ve been enduring cruelty for about three months and I cannot bear it any longer. God said through a pastor at church that he knows that I’ve been the victim of a smear campaign and that He will defend me - I believe with all my heart that he will defend me, I praise Him wholeheartedly. Jesus I love you❤

One of the most helpful talks I have heard. Thank you, Glen and team. Because who talks about this stuff and is real? It's so rare to have someone actually sit alongside you in the dark. What a difference that makes. The room is warmer, the darkness thins just a little, the thick, dead air is touched by a feather of a whisper of a hint of a distant imagining of a breeze.

I'm amazed at how many great preachers I can find on KZfaq, ones I had never heard of before. Thank you for the modern version of Psalm 88, I wrote it down for personal use.

Wow, this hits so close to home for me. Been a Christian my whole life, but really dedicated myself to it over the last year. That last year has been the rockiest of my entire life. I'm 20 and life hitting me so hard shocked me at first. So hard I almost apostatized. Yet this psalm kept me going. Now several months later finding your sermon when I'm once again in a hard spot brings me to tears. Truly blessed to have found this. The fellowship of enduring in Christ suffering is the hardest thing I have ever done. Yet the reward of that fellowship is the greatest thing I have ever received. Thank you for this sermon.

I'm in that exact place for several weeks now and I do not exaggerate in the least. I never saw you before (just like you'll probably never see this comment lol) but a sister at church directed me to Psalm 88 which in itself was like healing balm, yet I go back and forth as I improve daily.. Tonight I woke up at 4:30 AM because it's almost impossible to sleep for long and I searched Psalm 88 and found this, and I just want to say that at this proper time, I consider this the best sermon I have EVER heard. Thank you. Thank you so much ❤️✝️

Psalm 88 is the Lords Psalm, this is the anguish that Jesus went through because of our sin. No one can identify with this Psalm, Jesus bore our sin. This psalm is to serve as a glimpse of what He went through for us. Isaiah 53.

Yes. I tend to think *all* the Psalms are the Lord's own prayers. Certainly thats the way the NT takes them.

I have been Christian for 12 years now ,...suffer from social angst sins i was 7-8 years old and am 35 now i have been crying day in day out for 12 year to bee hild,. nothing yet!! i have no word to explain the pain and the darkness i am going through!

Dear Lucy, I hear you. I know you. I'm for you. In the midst of your darkness and pain and in the midst of your sin I hear you, I know you and I'm for you. I have you on my heart before the Father and I pray for you. Constantly. I offer to God the perfect praise, the perfect sacrifice, the perfect obedience in your name and on your behalf. You are more than forgiven Lucy. Your sins have been covered, cleansed and removed as far as the east is from the west. My work on the cross was complete. There's nothing between you and God now. Only me. And I am keeping you together. I will do that forever - I will never leave you or forsake you. When you feel unable to pray - I am praying for you. When you feel far from God - I am lifting you to Him. When you wallow in the darkness - I've got you in the light. When you sin - I am bearing the wounds of your forgiveness. When you despair - I will hope for you. When you suffer - I sympathise from the depths of my heart. When you die - I will welcome you with open arms. I am your salvation. I am your standing before God. I am your identity. I am your future. I am your life. You are united to me and I'm never letting go. Yours forever, Jesus
