#13 Ole Miss vs Tennessee WILD Ending | 2021 College Football

2 жыл бұрынThe game between Ole Miss and Tennessee had a wild ending. However, this wild ending not due to the football side of things, but rather the actions of the fans. Trailing 31-26 late, Tennessee needed to convert a 4th and 24 to stay alive. They completed a 23.5 yard pass and were ruled just short of the first down. After reviewing the play, the refs determined the call on the field stood. The Tennessee fans in Knoxville were not happy about this... they littered the field with debris and trash for 20 minutes and caused the game to be delayed. Both teams had to evacuate their sidelines, Lane Kiffin got hit by a golf ball, the cheerleaders and bands had to leave the field, and a mustard bottle was on the field. After the lengthy delay, Tennessee was able to force Ole Miss to go 3 and out and got the ball back with 30 seconds left. They were able to drive all the way down to the Ole Miss 21 yard line, but were unable to score on the last play as backup QB Joe Milton came up short on a run. Ole Miss held on for a wild 31-26 over Tennessee in Knoxville. The SEC will likely be taking some form of action against Tennessee for how the fans acted.

In what universe was it short? He lunged over and the camera angles where only one side of the field. To be fair trash being thrown after a ref bad calls isn't out of ordinary Look at bottle gate in NFL 2001 browns vs jaguars when the refs reviewed a play from 2 plays before screwed the browns and wonder why bottles where thrown. That's why you don't see bottles at football games .

It goes off of where he initially hits the ground. And he definitely, with no doubt, was down before getting the first. It literally showed it in the replay.

@@battleford3574 Right on his fingertips at warp speed doesn't make it a catchable ball. Maybe if he had thrown it one more time. Milton has no touch, just speed on his throws. After watching some of his passes earlier this year, I was pleasantly surprised it didn't land 10 yards out of the end zone. Very few college receivers come down with that pass, though for Milton is was fairly accurate.

Like I play high-school football I start as corner, I've intercepted the ball like that just not in the endzone. I've seen receivers jump up and catch that. If you watch it the dude barely even jumped for the ball

What a shitshow of a game. First all the injuries due to BOTH teams running an entertaining AF up-tempo offense, then the fans throw shit on the field, and then the backup QB plays like an idiot running the ball on the last play from the 20 yard line. It was a shitshow indeed but I'm all for 5 hours of it.

Tennessee’s back up quarterback actually ran out of bounds on a play that started with only three seconds left. 😂🤣😂🤣 You could see him look up at the clock, about 10 seconds into the play. He had 2 shots. The first was out of reach and the second he ran out of bounds. Imagine being a Tennessee receiver in the end zone with the Ole Miss secondary and never getting a chance.

Does anyone remember when during a NY Giants game the fans started throwing snowballs at the field. Well, for the next two months police reviewed the film and arrested each identifiable individual on that film. It was announced several games later that the Giants organization and law enforcement made numerous arrests. I guess in 1995 things were different.
