A compilation of the biggest and hardest hits of the 2021 college football season. This includes huge blocks, body slam plays, trucks, and bone shattering tackles. A majority of these hits were legal, although some of them were called targeting. Also, I decided to leave out blatantly dirty hits because I don't believe they should be glorified. Watch all 17 minutes to relieve some of the best moments from this past college football season including Oklahoma's Perrion Winfrey destroying Iowa State QB Brock Purdy and Ole Miss's kicker laying out the Mississippi State return man on a kickoff. Incidental contact being called targeting is really a blemish on the game. Guys hitting shoulders, pulling back their head to avoid contact and helmets tap… boom targeting, with no intent for head to head.

They have gotten so vicious with calling "targeting" that so much that ISN'T is flagged and penalized as if it was.

Yeah, I think they just need to remove Targetting because it literally makes it so hard for defensive players to tackle. NFL and College Organizations want to prevent head to head collisions, and you have to train your players to TARGET the body or other areas when hitting so that doesnt happen. It makes it impossible to play defense and ultimately hurts the sport. I'd rather have a player break his rib on a hard hit than have a brain injury.. thats just me.

@@galaxyswapper817 I get why the rule exists and for legitimately dangerous or clearly intentionally dangerous hits, it's not bad. I just hate when they call some that were incidental when the player led with a shoulder or tried to hit the chest, etc as a game misconduct ejection penalty when it shouldn't have been. They NEED better definition of what is and isn't that extreme level of penalization...

As an LSU fan, I loved seeing all the Aggies get excited about Max Johnson transferring. That hit vs. UCLA told us early on this year was going to suck. Dude holds onto the ball for 5-6 seconds. Have fun going 7-5 with him!

Probably done with them for this year I’ll do more rounds next year. Everyone was complaining on the first round video so I had no motivation to make videos for the other rounds.

Whoever came up with kicking a player out for targeting has never played a snap of football. Worse rule in history of college football. If you wanna call targeting fine ( I think it's a dumb call football is meant to be a sport where you get lit up like that) but don't kick out the kid for making a awesome football play.

I know these are from the fall 2021 season, but the biggest hit I can remember was from the FCS spring season, when JMU played Sam Houston in the semifinals. JMU received the kickoff after Sam Houston's TD, and the returner brought it out while one of the Sam Houston defenders came hard after him, and the player got knocked out after the helmet contact. The guy from Sam Houston wasn't moving at all. Thankfully he turned out to be okay.

Running back can not lower head to run people over. That's a penalty for 15 yards and a loss of down and if upheld. The player is disqualified.

Notice that the big hits that do not involve using the helmet as a weapon almost always have the person hit bouncing right up? It is the use of the helmet (ore the forearm) to the head that results in the real damage - hence the targeting rule. CTE is real. 4:42 is a great example of a player using their helmet as a weapon, a deadly weapon. 7:16 is another great example. Great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
