Sadhguru is an amazing human being benefitting crores of people around the world. His system of yoga has been studied extensively by univeristies around the world including Harvard and found to be beneficial at many levels. These research citations are available for anyone to see on Isha websites. I am more concerned about people who claim that their views are the only truth and rest everything is pseudoscience.

Being a PhD. Scholar in physics, I've always tried and still trying to educate young generatios the beauty of science and to believe in facts. But, once in my early stage of life, I too had watched sadguru's videos and fascinated by his beautiful speaking skills and all. But when I had gone through one of his books named inner engineering, I had stoped every thing related to him. Coz I understood there's nothing in it. I advice people to experience and learn from mistakes. I too had many mistakes and wrong thoughts about the world around me. But being a science follower and believer of facts, I learned from my mistakes. All the support to Science.

Inner Engineering is not a scientific treatise. It is a book on meditative approach to life based on Yogic principles. It was wrong of you to approach that as a strictly scientific thesis. It is more correct to see the book as a spiritual self help guide.

There are so many videos on youtube which shows scientists and doctors from top universities and companies such as MIT, Harvard , Stanford, Google etc having dialogue with Sadhguru in front of their students. They listen to him respectfully and with an open mind and are amazed at the different perspective to life he gives and eager to know about the yogic way of life. Of course they disagree with him at some points but there is a healthy dialogue. But they still admit that science at current form does not have all answers and are curious about the meditative powers of consciousness. And then it is funny to see these half baked mallu 'scientists' with half baked knowledge from youtube videos thrashing Sadhguru. I do understand that they have an agenda to cater to a local commie audience. Twenty years ago this would have worked but now all everything is online and people can compare. And the funny thing is that those true scientists in MIT and Harvard seem to understand what Sadhguru is saying while this youtube educated scientist does not. Anatharamanu munnil MIT Harvard okke verum puzhu hahaha :D.

In this video he said about the book "The skeptics' guide to the universe " was published in 2018. & it contains only information about 2018 scientific proof.....now 2023 has come & in this 5 years short time a lot of data has been researched.....and it clarifies a lot of science are yet to be rethink......even scientists can't even explain what is going on... But people are making conclusions with that.......

@@sweetchinmusic801 it's known as personal branding work. By taking part in debates and dialogues in reputable places, sadguru and team aims to gather more followers. You are very naive to think it was all organic. You definitely don't need a sadguru to tell you meditation is good. But he has that charm and charisma to make people fall for his ways, and he just reaping on it.

നിങ്ങളുടെ conclussion വളരെ correct ആണ്. എന്റെ grandmother ഇപ്പോൾ മരണാസന്ന ആയി കിടപ്പിലാണ്. 6 മാസം എന്നാണ് ഡോക്ടർ വിധി എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. എന്നോട് എന്റെ അങ്കിൾ ചോദിച്ച ഒരു കാര്യമുണ്ട്, ഡോക്ടർ 6 മാസം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ സ്ഥിതിക്ക് ഇനി ചികിത്സ ഇല്ല എന്നല്ലേ അർഥം. എന്നാൽ പിന്നെ ഏതെങ്കിലും വൈദ്യന്റെ അടുത്ത് കൊണ്ട് പോയാൽ അവർക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞാലോ എന്ന്. സത്യത്തിൽ ഇതൊക്കെ pseudoscience ആണെന്ന് കൃത്യമായ ബോധ്യമുള്ള ഞാൻ പക്ഷെ അവിടെ തർക്കിക്കാൻ നിന്നില്ല. എനിക്ക് ഇതിൽ വിശ്വാസം ഇല്ല എന്ന് മാത്രം പറഞ്ഞു ഒഴിയുകയാണ് ഉണ്ടായത്. എന്തെങ്കിലും ചികിത്സ നൽകണമല്ലോ എന്ന് കരുതുന്ന ഇത്തരം നിസ്സഹായരെ ആണ് ഇതുപോലുള്ളവർ പറ്റിക്കുന്നത്.

There are so many videos on youtube which shows scientists and doctors from top universities and companies such as MIT, Harvard , Stanford, Google etc having dialogue with Sadhguru in front of their students. They listen to him respectfully and with an open mind and are amazed at the different perspective to life he gives and eager to know about the yogic way of life. Of course they disagree with him at some points but there is a healthy dialogue. But they still admit that science at current form does not have all answers and are curious about the meditative powers of consciousness. And then it is funny to see these half baked mallu 'scientists' with half baked knowledge from youtube videos thrashing Sadhguru. I do understand that they have to cater to a local commie audience. Twenty years ago this would have worked but now all everything is online and people can compare. It is pretty funny and laughable haha :D.

Hi Ananthraman, it was a wonderful discussion. But, I think there's a small clarification regarding your discussion on Allopathy and Ayurveda. Of course we agree with modern scientific proofs. However there are indigenous medical solutions to many diseases. I had a severe auto immune condition for about 13 years. I had a very bad journey with my parents taking me to retreat centres and many other places. It was just traumatic. I got treatment from Jipmer, CMC Vellore and many other clinics. All the five years, I got treatment from allopathic medicine, I was prescribed steroids and NSAID's. That was just a temporary solution for symptoms. Now it has been 6 years i am taking Ayurveda treatment. I have significantly improved my health. I think for every disease, we have to go for an allopathic full body test. For auto immune disorders like arthritis there are good treatments in Ayurveda and even Homeopathy. They are not pseudo sciences. It is the narratives that surround them and the demigods like Sadhguru often use the narratives that make us feel all of them are pseudo sciences. We had herbal solutions before biomedicine arrived in the country with the colonisers. I pursue my research, in the history of medicine in the colonial era. These are wonderful discussions in social science communities. I'm not saying there is something great about what is 'Indian'. But depending on the physical condition of the patient, after all necessary check ups which are available in allopathy, we have to wisely choose what to follow. For example for cancer or emergency medicine and many others, Allopathy provides the solution. But there are fields, where herbal medicines prove their best like arthritis, spondylitis, disc complaints etc.

Hi Anantaraman... I usually view your both channels and it's amazing how you balance them both. The content is just fab. This one is spl though, could see an emotional connect. Wouldn't have commented, had it been another channel, but being Nissaaram- just wanted to point out a flaw- the kind of medicine being practiced today is not Allopathy... As you implied with the thumbail at 0:30- we call it 'Modern Medicine' Or 'Evidence based Medicine'. But we mallus are so used to the term Allopathy, that we associate that with the modern medical practice. Just FYI. Thanks.. Keep spreading happiness and debunking myths... Happy new year buddy.

There are so many videos on youtube which shows scientists and doctors from top universities and companies such as MIT, Harvard , Stanford, Google etc having dialogue with Sadhguru in front of their students. They listen to him respectfully and with an open mind and are amazed at the different perspective to life he gives and eager to know about the yogic way of life. Of course they disagree with him at some points but there is a healthy dialogue. But they still admit that science at current form does not have all answers and are curious about the meditative powers of consciousness. And then it is funny to see these half baked mallu 'scientists' with half baked knowledge from youtube videos thrashing Sadhguru. I do understand that they have an agenda to cater to a local commie audience. Twenty years ago this would have worked but now all everything is online and people can compare. And the funny thing is that those true scientists (who went through rigrorous scientific research for years) in MIT and Harvard seem to understand what Sadhguru is saying while this youtube educated 'scientist' concocting different concepts from books and youtube videos does not.
