Thousands of PSG fans party in city centre ahead of Manchester United Champions League game tonight at Old Trafford
Paris Saint-Germain supporters have marched through Manchester city centre with lit flares ahead of the club's Champions League clash at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
French champions PSG are in the north of England for a Round of 16 tie against Manchester United and a group of the club's supporters were caught on video as they made their way to the game.
The clip shows the fans chanting and waving around the fireworks as they make their way past the Hard Rock Cafe in the city centre.
Greater Manchester Police responded to the incident on social media amid reports that the supporters' pyrotechnics has caused "loud bangs".
Around 3,000 PSG fans have arrived in Manchester city centre ahead of the game with the majority heading for Exchange Square.
Paramedics treated one French supporter for a hand injury after a firework went off in his hand while police have also confiscated pyrotechnics.
PSG had been heavy favourites for the tie when the draw was made at the end of last year.
But an upturn in form for United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer allied with several high-profile injuries for the French side has given the hosts' hope that they can progress.
United have won 10 and drawn one of their 11 games under the Norwegian and he will be hoping for another famous European night, having scored the winning goal when the club won the Champions League in 1999.

Saying that any French club has a hooligan firm is like saying that France could have done the Nazis if they wanted to. So when Frenchies come to England they should be grateful to us for saving their nation. But at least French ladies make the nation of France worthwhile.
