I love how bruno completely curbed my expectations of his character and just ended up being both extremely normal and extremely nice

Jacob’s a stuntman before the apocalypse, he is familiar with everything in monarch studios, pointing out the various things in the studios, he’s familiar with all the gimmicks they use for making movies

Jacob's honestly the best character, imo. His quips are actually fun and fit the moment, he's extremely nice, caring and both sympathetic and empathetic, anytime someone dies he asks his mom in Heaven to make them feel warm and welcome, he's always talking to his mom and reassuring her he'll be okay and won't end up with her anytime soon, and so on.

Jacob is honestly not bad. I first played Amy cause I liked her dash strike only to find out everybody else has it aswell and its not just tied to Amy. I loved the parts where he talked about his mom. Something about that is just wholesome. His voice actor nailed it.

I’m playing as Jacob. He says some random weird shit sometimes but he’s honestly a comforting and well written character.

The reason why Jacob knew that it was an fake elevator and others didn't is because he trained and study to be a stuntman, just like his mother.

Jacob was like an educate and cultured man who happened to dress like a hooligan... And if I remember he was a British, right?

Jacob seems to act around the 4th wall most of the time. He always notes how dramatic things seem and definitely sees around the setups.

Carla is such a vibe. Completely into it from the first kill she scored, she never became anything but a coke addict zombie masher and its amazing

Honestly, Ryan's dialogue throughout the game is the same type of stuff i would be saying in this type of situation. He has to be the first character that i actually can compare to.

I did Jacob as my first playthrough he has such amazing lines really he is my favorite character lol

Yeah I played through my first time with Jacob he's a badass helmet gets access to some of the best cards early on and he's the funniest and most aware of the situations like when you meet new apex zombies for the first time or the whole movie studio

I chose Ryan and he was rarely annoying. My favorite of them all

Bruno with the old mexican grandma at emmas house was really touching he saw her as her own grandma so it was kinda nice

I like Jacob because I like his personality. Ryan is the most believable and relatable if a tone was in that situation. Not really sure about anyone else. Kinda only like them two

I chose Ryan as my first play through. I love how he talks like he’s just a little in over his head but has the performing experience with enough crazy bachelorettes and dancing gigs to just roll with things.

I beat the game with Ryan, and his dialog was great. I am playing as Jacob now and I love his dialog even more.

Im not seeing Dani get enough love here, she has a lot of dry witty comments that fit her character so well, and her interactions with rickys quests are great, overall I think her character is lively and has well done personality

Ryan is like the humour of a John Macclaine in Die hard

So many games have missions that take place on a movie set, or something similar and just don't take advantage of the set pieces you can create when you have a level like this. The devs for Dead Island 2 nailed this area. The variety in Monarch studios is great, you have the actors still dressed in their WW2 army outfits, you have the actors painted like tribesmen, you can even find boom operators and film crew members. You have an area where sitcoms get filmed, a faux jungle, the spider over the diner, the attention to detail and them just having fun with the set pieces made it one of my favorite areas in the game despite it not being very big.

Jacob is smart because he is a Hollywood stuntman and knows the scene and how Hollywood works.

You know, from where they entered in, you'd think the set production would've had some extra button to open the slides of a fake elevator when show time is over by now.

Here’s me to think that Ryan is the most normal character..

Ryan's lines seem the most genuine outta all the characters plus his motivation for wanting to escape though I chose Carla cause she seemed fun

My favorite line is Ryan's Die Hard reference when he first crawls through an air duct

I like Ryan he’s the only one who made me laugh at his reaction to finding out they are fake handcuffs in the beginning but fav stats to play is Carla

And on Patton’s “Excalibur” scene you can see that Jacob is the only one concerned about what happened to the zombie after patton blow it head with a smol hammer would likely apply to him too

jacob knows this because he is a stuntman so he has been around movie sets so he can identify a prop from the real thing

Most likely is thanks to his experience on the set, and the others didn't realize that a movie set probably don't have a elevator and they could look up to where the second floor should have been and see studio lights.

All of Jacobs lines are comedic relief, yet a lot of most serious moments he actually goes serious and sounds concerned. Everyone else just sounds generic or dumb. Especially Amy

Jacob is the best IMO. Hes stylish, smart, funny and actually caring. His movie references and quips always make me laugh, especially the Silence of the Lambs Reference 😂

thats like the charm of the character, there is Carla: a street fighter who really love fights, Dani: Punk girl, someone who never miss a party, Amy: I think she is more like XXX movie character (I mean Vin Diesel ones) extreme sports, Ryan: action guy, fireman his only ocupation for real is your safe from the bad situation, Bruno: a kid like all the players of this game maybe with a little more than luck and finally, Jacob: movie guy, is like the more oldest than the others experience seen some kind of stuff like this

i’m glad i picked him he fit so well. i went in there thinking oh yea i’m picking amy but when i actually looked through it i went with jacob. couldn’t imagine using a different character.

I haven't played a whole lot of the other characters but Jacob seems to me to have all the best lines in the game. He's my absolute favorite to play and I get the impression that they either put more thought into his character or he was one of their first ideas for a playable character. 10/10
