[PSO2 JP] A Bow/Katana Braver put an end to the Remnants of the Other World (999 Masquerade)

My hands were shaking, my mind went full-auto. In the end, it is over. And of course, I am deeply sorry about the video quality. The video ends at 5.05, and I even messed up during editing...
This was taken from my impromptu stream, ArgusExisted, where my hardware is on the verge of death and the video quality can't be better because I don't know when will my machine explode or lack of the setting knowledge. I had to re-edit the video afterward as well because of the sound desync, too! This is the first time I try using this kind of tech lmao. Nothing can save this, and I am too exhausted to try this ever again.
Well, what can I say? It is the last depth of Omega Masquerade: Depth 999. Donned in white garb, all of his attacks now deal a colossal amount of damage to the point that he will instantly kill you without extreme investment in damage mitigation.
We don't do that here as Hybrid BrPh. I just treat my HP as "1 HP" during the attempts after getting sliced for 4.4 million damage.
Thanks for tagging along until the end... or not. You can see how frightened I was against Masquerade at this depth. My movement wasn't snappy like the other videos, and I played a bit less aggressively to conserve my sanity while compressing the panic built within.
Again, this is the end of the long road. It may become a reference you other players out there looking to clear with Hybrid Braver or a video to show that if there's a place that Hybrid Braver can shine...

Did they add new pa on jp? What are those pa that shot from nowhere and the one that makes bow look cool? Or is it either the weapon skill or skill tree?

It's S5:Auxiliary Arrow, a special ability you can get from certain bows that will fire extra bolts on enemy whenever your PA hits and deals damage.

No, I just bind the weapon action key (Guard for katana) to the "C" key instead of putting it on the weapon palette. Personal Preference, I would say. It's not the best thing to do because several classes heavily rely on weapon action, so putting it on the weapon palette makes your life easier. Well, it works for me somehow.

@@Argus_PSO2 There's various programs (And programmable mice) that let you bind keys to mouse buttons which can help a lot, I have dodge and weapon action set to my thumb buttons that way. Granted, your keyboard reaction times are better than mine even with the mouse block/dodge :p

How do you recover so much PP with an uncharged normal attack? All I saw was you just tabbing it, so it's uncharged right, and you recovered a large chunk of PP.

Phantom passive called "Phantom PP Restorate" increase Attack PP Recovery (PP gain from hitting enemy) and Natural PP Recovery (PP gain while not attacking and charging a few attacks) by 30%. Attack PP Recovery is more important as it applies to all of my attack that doesn't use PP (Step Attack; both dash and kick, bow Normal Attack; charged, uncharged, and whether either is affected by Rapid Shoot and its enhancing skill or not). Combined that with Stil weapon's Potential Ability that recovers 20 PP every 20 seconds passively, a very expensive S-class Special Ability called Glowing Grace that also recovers 4 PP every 1 second when I'm standing still, having nearly 28% PP reduction and remembering how much various combo consume my PP and how much I can get back through all means stated prior... That's what you are looking at. You don't need to charge everything playing Bow Braver. It takes so long to get all of those gimmicky gear and so time-consuming to adjust to it.

Ye... yeah! Why not? Playing BrPh means that you have access to both classes "MAG skills", which are Braver MAG and Phantom MAG. Noth can stack, causing your 200 DEX MAG to give 400 S-ATK, 400 R-ATK, and 200 T-ARK. The problem is that DEX MAG will limit your class usage to just Braver, Phantom, and Bouncer. If you don't mind it that much, go for it. Otherwise, it's whether you wanna buy a MAG ticket for a different stat or create a new character for it.

Yes, it is possible, but will require you to learn how to use every single bow Photon Arts (except Million Storm) and attacks (CPA, charged Normal Attacks, and using S5: Auxiliary Arrow) as a workaround against his Barrier mechanics. Try to hold Banish Combo during the first phase though, and go full ham in the second phase while avoiding damage as much as possible. Better yet, start practicing clearing it with zero damage taken if possible because any depth with the "Malice" tag can randomly one-shot you, to the point that having higher DEF doesn't help. And, of course, no mistakes at depth 999. Make sure to bring out your best gears and all the buffs you can get (mostly Food and Team ATK). Check my channel for the "Featured Channels" list. ルシェル/ has examples of clearing it purely with the bow.

bit.ly/2YMEm7J Despite claiming that I use both weapons, I'm still using bow over katana in most cases. The skill tree is tailored for my personal use where I have enough PP to take advantage of Phantom's Critical Stream, and having extra S-class Special Ability to substitute the crit chance from Stance Critical if I want to change my setting. You are probably better off dropping Shooting Up 1 to cap Stance Critical and Charge Shoot instead, hence "an actual Hybrid Braver build". Gears wise, use the best bow and katana you can get in the current content day and any extra weapons, like PP charger and buffer tools. That's it. Find the best unit combination that you prefer and try affixing both S-ATK, R-ATK, and PP, along with extra HP or DEF you can possibly get. The playstyle is more viable in the JP server at the time I reply to you. We have a higher level cap for more skill points allocation, powerful gears and affixes to accommodate it, and having access to Phantom as a subclass. NA servers, on the other hand, can opt for the playstyle but can be less potent without the above reasons. No matter how it plays out, you will end up using one weapon over another any day. It's just a matter of "what weapon you had chosen to play first when you start with Braver", and the amount of investment into a full-fledge hybrid would get a pure bow or katana much, much further. Well, personal preference, if I would say at this point. People will be telling you "Katana = BrPh, and Bow = BrEt" regardless.

Nope, there's none. People often tackle this quest at early depths for the easy, daily class Excubes farming. Few would want to challenge their skills and go deeper for a chance at titles, and some extra SGs to fuel whatever you need. Frankly speaking, it's there for the bragging rights, and maybe a good place to show how the class/weapon works against an extremely aggressive boss that can and will one-shot you.
