The game looks actually exceptional.

One thing I didn't mention from the article is that the Capcom devs Game Informer interviewed essentially confirmed that the VR mode won't be there at launch - as they want to focus on the game itself until it's time to implement the VR mode

@@WithoutParole that is sad, cause VR games should be design as VR games first and not just add VR support later. There are a lot of stupid decisions in RE4:VR like switching to 3rd persion. It's just break immersion.

@@WithoutParole Ah, thank you for the additional info. If I were a betting man, that’s where I’d have put my money. As with Village, it’s bittersweet to enjoy a new game in Flat mode… then already being familiar with the story for the first VR play through… …but I’m definitely not complaining and appreciate all that Capcom has been doing to support VR gaming 🙏

I still have my PS VR one hooked up to my PS5. I also have PSVR 2 I appreciate you listing all the games we have to look forward to. I also appreciate you telling me about this Solitude game. I grew up in Tahoe California and every once in a while there would be a crazy storm where I could walk through for miles and be completely alone. Solitude looks like my jam. Thank you Brian Paul keep doing what you're doing man.

Separation is definitely worth checking out. I played it for the first time a few months ago and really enjoyed it. The environment really fills you with a sense of desolation and solitude. The graphics aren't super polished (but very evocative), the "puzzles" aren't really challenging, and iirc the walking speed was a bit slow for my tastes, but those were minor complaints for me. +1 recommendation.

We could really use some more wishlist adds 😉 And of course on this nice, sunny Sunday, I'm sitting in front of the PS5 devkit, working to get this show on the road. Progress has been good recently despite some setbacks, so we'll keep at it in true gamecat spirit😺

Nice! It really could have used Move support. Having 2 hands in Separation would have made some of the interactions better. But besides that... :D

Separation on PSVR2 would sure be nice! I was really surprised, as I often don't jive with that kind of experience (I really didn't care for Journey). But artistically, it had something to say. I think it's still a PSVR1 exclusive which is a shame!

@@WithoutParole Yeah me too. That kind of abstract art rarely works with me, so I was very, very impressed by the effectiveness and sincerity. The use of color was so effective. It would be a shame if more people won't be playing it for being stranded on PSVR1. Gah, gotta get after someone to get that on PSVR2!

Yes, I had never heard of it and it looks really interesting! Shame that it doesn't seem to be available for other VR platforms. I still have my PSVR1, but no time to find all the cables and set everything up properly atm 😅

It does look bright with all those coming, now to just finish the 30 backlog I already have ;-) btw the Walkabout Mini Golf sale seems to only be for the DLC Add-on pack which does not include the base game (for Europe store anyway!) I’ve been waiting for the base and dlc bundle to go on sale myself, so looks like I’ll be waiting a bit longer! :-)

Separation is probably the best hidden gem on PSVR - and that was without me really having the emotional connection to the game's concept that many others do. For me it was just how the Team Ico style environment and landscape - and its magical music just combined to present a world I fell into big style, and likewise I spent something like 10 hours in overall just exploring the world. Its definitely one of the reasons I'm keeping my PSVR1, but I guess the good thing is that anyone getting a PC adapter will be able to play Separation on PSVR via Steam from August?

Separation was a great experience. I played the new game Haus of Klaus and it has great Ideas, but seperation Was more my cup of tea. The visual improved flat version would be great on psvr2 👍

Have a feeling we will get a few first party upgrades for Psvr1 next year. I see playstation holding them back as the end of this year is already stacked with so many bangers, no need for the upgrades yet.

Bryan, you're anticipating the Alien game more than Behemoth (!)? Well, so am i, actually. Maybe it's the ’unknown factor’? I mean, if they pull it off, it could be my favourite PSVR2 game. Can't wait!! ( to potentially be let down too, of course. LOL ). Fingers crossed. :)

+1 for Separation getting a port. Played it for the first time a couple months ago for #backlog-club in the discord, and really enjoyed it. The walking speed was maybe a bit slow, it might've benefitted from a few more challenging puzzles, and some of the visuals could've used a little more polish, but overall it was great. Really enjoyed the huge ruins and the feeling of solitude and desolation.

Separation is a great game! Though, not sure I would get it again if the game is just ported over and the only difference being a higher resolution. And btw., I also would like to see on psvr2; hitman, astrobot, wipeout, battlezone, blood and truth, here they lie, fracked (maybe with more skiing challenges?) , golem, l.a. noir (maybe the full game ?), (Last guardian the full game ?) And it would be cool if also the following would be on psvr2: ghost giant, deraciné, transference, bound, super hot, pyschonauts, vader immortal (really liked the dojo of the 1st episode), robinson: the journey (since it is only playable on ps4(pro)+psvr1). And shame on sony for not releasing a psvr2 version of dreams.

same. the real system seller would be the vr conversions in my opinion. stuff like skyrim vr, resident evil, gran turismo. vr mechanics are cool but i get off on being IN IT. cyberpunk 2077 or even old games like dishonored tweaked a little bit would be huge and you feel like you're playing a full game instead of a big tech demo. IMO anyway

And astro bot not even having VR support at all, just cemented the fact that sony dont want anything to do with this thing anymore But as i said, i wold LOVE to be proven wrong 🙏

@leirdua1733 With Sony funding the VR modes for RE Village and RE4 Remake, you'd expect that even if they were struggling to justify their own first party studios focusing on VR titles (beyond the rumoured 2) then financially supporting Capcom to do the job would be a sound investment - especially if they released it on PSVR2 and PCVR too to extend their player base.

So we all saying here that res evil vr is entire justification to you all for PSVR excitement? Just reading the comments and wondering what the heck? Sony pulled manufacturing. 1st party development, shut down their own dev team due to losses. I've been struggling with acknowledging the loss of the psvr2. But then all these psvr2 tubers trying to suggest it has life, it hasn't. It's done. They released a pc displayport box just to shift back stock, it won't even be a gppd pcvr headset without all the features that makes it good. Realistically ps6 in 2029-2030, that's a long time, and I don't think psvr2 is gonna see the future.
