PSVR2 was my personal introduction to VR, and I immediately fell in love with it. I purchased a bunch of games including Kayak: Mirage, Red Matter 2, and The 7th Guest, all of which look phenomenal. Gran Turismo 7 is also definitely a show piece game as you can sit down and swap out with guests who wish to try VR. As the Quest 3's release approached I did my research and decided to pull the trigger on it as well. Since then I've repurchased many of the titles I have on PSVR2 for the Quest 3, and visually the difference in quality seems marginal or nonexistent (at least to me). The game-changer though has been the Quest 3's wire-free and standalone capabilities; I didn't realize how much I hated that one cord running to my PS5 until I'd played several sessions of Walkabout Minigolf and Dungeons of Eternity on the Quest 3. The simple freedom to move without having to constantly readjust or untangle yourself from a cord more than makes up for whatever graphical difference may exist between the two headsets, and honestly I've found it hard to go back to the PSVR2 for awhile now. Even its rubbery face shield feels positively cheap and flimsy compared to the Quest 3's. I hate to play favorites against the PSVR2 because, as I said, I owe my exposure to VR to it, and from a technical standpoint I guess it's still one of the most impressive headsets on the market. But there are definitely shortcomings with regard to comfort, and the absence of Sony first-party exclusives since Horizon: Call of the Mountain has made it feel redundant; the vast majority of the games you can purchase for it are also on the Quest 3 and/or the PC. I do, however, keep it on standby in case any friends or family come over to play Walkabout Minigolf; I would take the PSVR2 (since I'm familiar with its interface and dealing with the cord) and let them use my Quest 3.

I have the two headsets. I like graphics and quest 3. Just don't cut it for me. I got it for pc gaming and wired psvr2. I never had a problem with it. There are two good headsets, but my number one go to is psvr2 thanks for the comment 👍

Nonsense comparition IMO, as PSVR2 is NOT a standalone VR headset. Of course PSVR2 has better graphics than Quest 3 standalone, but need a PS5 in order to play any of those games. On the other hand, with Quest 3 you can play standalone games but also PCVR games, and those graphics are even better than PS5 ones. That would be the fair comparision. 🤷‍♂

I have a quest 3 to get them graphics that are better than psvr2 it cost me 2.000 for the pc and 5.50 for the quest 3, so 2.500 my psvr2 and ps5 9.50 and the graphics are not much better

@@VrDaveTheRave Yes, I can agree with you in terms of the price of both options, but PSVR2 + PS5 is also almost twice the price of Quest3, so price itself was already out of discussion. And it is also true that a master race PC+Quest 3 is way more expensive than PS5+PCVR, but it has also waaaay much bigger catalog of games in Steam VR than in PSVR. So there are a few more things to consider besides the price of the pack itself, I think.
