Story is that Yoongi sent Psy a text telling Psy he had a song for him and wanted to produce it. They became friends in the process of writing back and forth. This song is very Yoongi and Psy. So catchy. Also, apparently the translation of Yoongi’s verse isn’t accurate. You should look them up.

I cant even count how many times i played this since it dropped! Story time: one day Suga sent msg to Psy, he told Psy that he has song for him and wanted to produce for him and Yoongi just want to write and produce song but PSY convince him to do rap part then to feature in MV and learn some intense choreo. Guys check out the behind the scenes on PSY’s yt channel. Its hilarious and fun. Yoongi was the producer, co-wrotes the song, arranged, mixed, etc. basically he dis this thing from a-z. Our Yoongi is just beyond amazing! He doesn’t know what rest even means. 🥰🥰💜💜💜

I never listened to any of Psy s songs but when I found out Yoongi wrote and produced it I knew it was going to be a hit . He is a genius guys you are right he is amazing he is so talented he works so hard. I haven’t really heard what the other members though of it but jhope likes it. Yoongi said he will be touring when he is 40 if his body allows him too still dance . Psy said he will tease him on that day. I’m glad he got Yoongi to dance in the video too. He’s a great dancer. Despite he didn’t want to dance when he joined BTS he loves dancing . I love how he makes his entrance After the eagle makes a sound. Yoongi outfit wow.

Psy's well known for his comedic/parody based lyrics/music. Gangdam Style is a parody. The whole music video pokes fun at rich-looking culture and how a lot of things in Korea are about appearances. Seeing as he grew up in that environment, he's able to laugh at it. It's Psy singing, as far as I can tell...they were being comedic...lol! Also, the blue suit itselfis fromthe Gangdam Style MV!

So just to let you know, Suga didn't sing in that one part. He lip synched to PSY's voice and made it look like he was singing. When Suga actually sings, his vocals are much deeper than PSY's. Besides, if this was him singing, he sounds like he's on the same pitch as Jungkook. Still, Suga got me really good when I reacted to the mv.

Background on Psy: his story is similar to SUGA. He is a songwriter, producer who got rip off and nobody would sing his songs, so he decided at a last attempt to sing them himself. His style is a light, indeed comic/satirical, hiphop. He debuted in 2002 with "Bird". He had many hits. Got viral with Gangnam Style in 2012, but nobody knew who he was internationally. After that, he's released many songs and the member of BTS sing them here and there if you watch their content ^^ Daddy, New Face, Gentleman... He also did a collab with Snoop Dogg "Hangover". I suggest you check some of his songs, before and after GS.

SO GOOD RIGHT!?!?!?!?! Psy's youtube page released a little making of video, def worth watching! It looked like they genuinely had an AMAZING time doing this! And they've both talked about how their mutual respect for each other turned into them becoming straight up besties through the process 😜 In fact, the whole album is SO SO SO SO GOOD!!!!! Super swaggy song with Jessi called Ganji/간지 (literally means "swag"), and an epic 80's retro dance tune with HwaSa are probably my other faves!! I heard some others Psy collab... They are good, but... That that is simply perfect! You begin to smile at the first second of it! The key is something BTS mastered... diversity... The song can have a repetitive chorus but the rest are different flows, rythms... And we have to mention that Yoongi is awesome at dancing!!!

During their interview, they both said that SUGA reached out to PSY first to work together. SUGA said that he only planned to produce it, but somehow ended appearing in the music video. I completely agree with you Ron. He’s usually so reserved but this made me love him even more. The way he let loose and had the best time of his life. Made me so proud and happy!! I watched PSY's interview with Jessie (in show!terview eps 95 if I'm not mistaken). Fyi, PSY is Jessie's boss in PNation but they did the interview nicely as besties and Jessie revealed that in real life PSY is indeed a playful and funny person (she even said jokely that he's 'crazy' lol). So I believe PSY's comedic side is not just his persona as an artist but also a part of his true personality. Well, it's just my personal opinion. And if you asked us about PSY and BTS members relationship, I would say that PSY is a senior artist and he is respected by many young idols (his juniors), including BTS. I watched a video when PSY and BTS (and other idols) were on the same stage (a music show) and you could see their cute interaction there.

I think Psy really is oriented toward really fun, funny tunes. Gangnam Style is entirely satirical, making fun of the stereotypical lifestyle of super-rich Seoulites. That silliness is kind of his thing. He also now has his own record label, known for being VERY artist-friendly. I know Jessi is there, Hyuna and Dawn, and others. I'm so addicted to this entire project!

SUGA did not "produce" the video since he's no film director :P, he did the song, arranged and composed it too. The MV was shot by LUMPENS (80% of BTS MVs), and yes, probably in the same area in Incheon ^^, sandy terrain anyway, a bit muddy because it was raining for 2 days.

What makes me so happy seeing this MV is seeing Yoongi having fun with PSY, pain-free! His shoulder has healed fine and he can now enjoy dancing more! I'm so proud that in the behind the scenes he was all gummy smile. I thank PSY for agreeing to this collab! PSY and Yoongi are legendary producers, singers, dancers! You can see, hear and feel their passion for music through this MV. Hoped you both enjoyed watching it as much as I did! :) When Yoongi's in a good mood, he's very lively and chaotic! Their relationship? PSY is grateful for BTS' success in BB (they made GS' unfulfilled dream by being no. 1 o BB). BTS loves PSY (their sunbae, thanking him for paving the way to US through GS).

Finally I wanted to say I've been waiting for Psys comeback for ages and if it wasn't for him ba k in 2012 I would've not gotten into kpop. Secondly I love how he worked along with yoongi and got him not only produce but also to be in the MV but to also dance aswell. Yoongi id my all time fav rapper in the entire music industry and someone I can truly relate too. Thirdly I am in love with the cowboy concept and vibe of the MV and I have always loved the wild west vibe. The whole choreo is just like Psy (if you seen his earlier qork you will k ow what I mean) the beat is upbeat and just makes me want to get up and dance along and another thing "that that" chorus is just so catchy as it has been stuck In my head since I first heard it in the teasers. Also I was just smiling and laughing thruout the entire MV. Also it might just be me but Yoongi kinda looked like Tae and jin in this MV too..
