If all my professors taught me with the depth of description that you teach in i would become a genius. I am incredibly thankful for your existence. You are a wonderful teacher. God bless you.

rjbirmingham, This may go unnoticed along with other comments, and I understand that I am just one person, although I will get others interested, but my professor gives us one week to teach ourselves an entire chapter and we don't actually learn anything during class time. I am so lucky that I have found this video because as someone who really cares about my grades and about getting a cheaper college through higher scholarships from higher GPAs and other such, his class is ruining my GPA because he is literally not teaching us. I have already told several people about your videos and will continue to tell more. I know it's a lot to ask, but I was wondering if you would do me a favor? I would really appreciate if you did a video on Chapter 11, Chapter 14, and Chapter 15. These are the future chapters. Thank you so much if you can make this possible! You would be helping so many students! - Blackburn College Student, Kelsey F.

I am so sorry, I made and posted these and never really looked back the comments. Truth be told, figured only my college kids would watch them. I am so happy this helped you and so sorry I did not see your message till now or I would have tossed something together. Hopefully, one of the other video's helped you out.

@@rjbirmingham please keep them coming... People are watching... Sometimes I'm more visual... I had 3 strokes and I'm older, after reading several times my brain retains nothing..lol. Once I watch a video... it clicks! I'm just a slow learning but I can still learn!!! Yay!! After my last stroke I enrolled in school... Friends think I'm having a mid life crisis.. I just want to use these brain cells!!! And keep these neurons going! Ha Blessings to you

@@rjbirmingham this is also personal... My life's goal is to earn a degree.. I must make it... !!! I find myself forgetting a lot.. Not car keys or names.. I'm talking going somewhere new Or old.. And completely forgetting where I'm at!! I got much better!!! Its been a year since my last stroke.. August made it a year! I have TTP a rare bleeding disorder and it was the cause of my strokes .... My platelets dropped below 3 and caused the strokes... Bleeding on the brain... I'm so happy to be in school again.. Its hard but it gives me motivation... It keeps me going... And keeps me busy instead of at home waiting for the next crisis! Or wallowing in misery from my ailments.

Is a global learner the as a subsequential learner?
@rjbirmingham3 жыл бұрын
No, at least not on the the adult learning assessment that my student take. They are the opposites. One needs material to be presented in a straight line fashion, even if they do not know where it might lead, those are the subsequential learners, they find a lecture that might not follow a textbook page by page as hard to follow. Where are global learners have a great need to know the purpose of the learning, what is it all leading to for them to learn at there best. They desire an overview of the subject, an abstract you might say, of the subject first. You might want to try out an adult learning style index that looks at this and several other aspects of an adults learning at www.webtools.ncsu.edu/learningstyles/ created by Richard Felder and Barbara Soloman.

@@rjbirmingham ima check that out. Thanks. From what little reading I've done, global learning seem to fit me to a T. I also find doing thing step by step by step ridiculously boring in most tasks and activities.
