My academy date is scheduled for April 3rd and all I have left is my Psych eval this month and for every task/exam that has been given to me in order to progress, I was like damn I have no idea what to expect. So I go online and look for advice and knowledge to move forward but damn bro if every video I watched about each step was by you, I would’ve been 100% more confident in the process. I’ve been putting in apps all over South Jersey including Atlantic City. Hopefully one department can hire me, but the psych eval was my biggest worry during the hiring process because I can’t really find any information on how to prepare for it or what it usually entails. Thanks Nick, I had mine today for the Sheriffs. It was exactly as you said. I felt like shit after 4 hours. I have a terrible feeling I failed. I tried to relax but he fixated on certain things; like the way I handle my anger. I will findout next week if I passd.

I passed my polygraph two weeks ago and had a sheriff background investigator asking my neighbor questions about me. Next will be doing my pysc and drug test. Keep u update fam

My psych eval lasted 4 and a 1/2 hours. It was crazy. The MMPI was 500 questions. Then you had to do a logic test, then talk to psychiatrist. It was annoying. But I think I passed it. I got the job.

Have my test tomorrow, I'll deff let y'all know how I did. Your take on the test deff helped appreciate it man !

Luckily I did all the personality testing online at home with a proctor. I completed the PT AKA the BAT, background, oral board, poly, the frontline NTN and drug screen. Now Friday in 2 days I have the psych exam. Everything has been easy up to this point. I'm very nervous about my psych evaluation probably because it is my last obstacle.

I have to do a voice stress test Friday, and I have my psych test Tuesday. After that it’s just a pre employment drug screening which is an easy pass then off to the academy in September 2023. Wish me luck.

Got my 2nd interview tomorrow, didn’t get cleared on my first pysch interview still don’t have a clue how. But I’m keeping my head up I’m hopeful I can pass this 🙏🏽

The point of the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) is to look for certain personality traits [within the margin of error] such as narcissism, psychopathy, dishonesty, and various personality disorders. That's why they ask you the same questions multiple times and sometimes change the wording slightly.

I have the physical for the state this upcoming Sunday and the county next Friday. Is there a difference between the two processes? I was told they don’t test for Marijuana in NJ. Also if you got accepted into both which one would you choose?
