Those uniforms look more expensive than the rifles. The majority of these videos show shooters under 18 by the look of them. Definitely something I couldn't have done with my ADHD. I used to wonder how hard can it be to hit a centre spot with equipment of that quality at 10m until I saw your video on what the site picture looks like for the shooter. Crazy levels of dedication from the top shooters. Even the way they pick up a pellet and load the rifle is incredibly methodical and as precise as aiming and firing.

Breathing exercises are crucial for sure. If you look at Kanstantsin Lukashyk’s last shot to win gold in Barcelona in the free pistol (and at 16 years old!), you can see how he calmed down his nerves with a series of deep breaths

Ok, but what if you have a heart condition and have Beta blockers prescribed by your cardiologist? Just curious. I'm not likely to ever shoot in any serious competition (unless HFT becomes very serious maybe) Because I came to see target shooting for more tips/information/perspectives to improve my standing shots in HFT. amazing series btw, very professional, very insightful.

Nope sports psychology. It’s a deliberate approach to shift your thinking to achieve positive outcomes and equipping yourself with psychological tools to deal with problems as they arise. It’s not a quick fix and takes time to change but the benefits outside of the sport contribute greatly to wellbeing and happiness. It’s a broad area dealing with relaxation before a big competition always tricky when you need to sleep. Looking at failure as a powerful training tool you have to fail to succeed. Preparation Dealing with the unexpected things go wrong that are out of your control having a mindset to deal with that. Focus practice being deliberate in your training. Visualisation being able to play your shot cycle in your head to re enforce muscle memory. Just a few examples of what you need to learn to unlock your true potential because you will go beyond what you think you can do.
