i guess u dont drink either? "The death rate for MDMA, assuming that there really were about 60 deaths directly caused by MDMA in 2000, would be roughly 2 in 100,000 users. The death rate from smoking, by contrast, is on the order of 400 per 100,000 users. Even alcohol, America’s official “it’s not really a drug” drug, nets about 50 deaths per 100,000 users each year:[3]"

A lot more people consume alcohol or smoke than use MDMA though, and the long term effects of MDMA are still unknown. It could increase the risk of developing dementia or alzheimers for example just like smoking increases the risk of developing long cancer. Just comparing the death rate numbers isn't really a fair comparison. That said I absolutely am pro legalizing MDMA, a lot of deaths can be contributed to contaminated or fake pills. But I think the potential long term dangers should not be underestimated.

@gina Yes the come down is a big part of it and some people legitimately do get depressed for long periods of time. It's definitely something everyone should tell their friends about before they just pop shit lmao. Alcohol abuse over long periods of times definitely can create a mental/physical addiction and the withdrawals of alcohol, even on the minor side are as serious as heroin. That being said, being tired and hungover means you need to have a nice long nap 😉

Exactly like you said: biggest side effect of mdma is how good it feels. That is the main issue with this drug. Everything, and i mean everything you experience after MDMA in "real, sober" life just cant compare. Human bodies just arent designed to feel that good for that long. That distorts the perspective on your whole life. Suddenly everything else, while sober, no matter how great it is, falls short to extacy euphoria. It is so easy to fall pray to take too much extacy and than both the magic and the safety is gone...

exactly!! so many ppl are assuming life is going to be dulled by the experience but i believe that’s only if you let it. why don’t you remember how happy you could be if you decided to see the beauty in everything and empathize and connect with people while sober? instead of just vying for more molly and being upset that you’re not hyped out of your mind about the smallest things? you know how great it was to be super appreciative and open because of MDMA, so now use that as motivation to have a more positive mindset in your sober life. it won’t be as intense, but idk why anyone would expect sober life to be MDMAmazing in the first place, or why they would need their life to be absolutely mindblowing more than every 3 months max. this seems like a dumb downside to me. don’t choose to have this mindset. use mdma and drugs in general as tools for self-improvement and, as a bonus, an occasional day-enhancer. happiness is a fleeting experience whether you’re intoxicated or sober anyways. it’s a bad idea to try to hold onto it because it’s always going to leave eventually, whether or not it’s MDMA-enduced.

I tried MDMA (tested) for the first time about a week ago at a rave, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. It was an open-air venue and right during the come up, it started POURING! It not only felt awesome, but it kept me cool for the entirety of the night, so I never got overheated, despite dancing like a maniac. Didn’t really get a comedown either. One of the best nights of my life. Made lots of friends lmao

I'll never forget the first time I did Es back in a club back in 2005 with a trustworthy friend. I still remember the experience to this day. I dropped an E before going into the club and felt the waves going up and down…cut a long story short, I felt this unconditional love to everyone in that moment, it was like everyone was just having their own blissful experience and I had no ego. I perceived everyone in a respectful way and I’ve never felt, heard dance music, like that before! It was like I was the music. I know these stimulant drugs are in no way near to psychedelic drugs, but for me, It was like a spiritual awakening at some level, I just felt ALIVE! Like the veil came off my eyes!

I really really like the advice and knowledge given in this video. There’s was one point in college where my friends and I were going to a lot of raves and clubs and taking molly. We dosed every or every other weekend for about 1-3 months, while heavily smoking weed. Of course, it was absolutely great and an opening experience; however, the months to come thereafter for me and my friends were very detrimental. All the big artists were touring for the festival season, so there was no reason to party hard and all the reason buckle down for school. Though it wasn’t immediate, we were all experiencing side effects - depression, social anxiety, sense of loneliness, all of it. We were struggling with our daily activities that simply hadn’t changed, we did. I mean, I couldn’t go a day at work without feeling my stomach drop, and I could only remind myself that it had to be the side effects in full swing. I’m sharing because the title “Risk vs. Reward” really hits home, as we experienced these side effects for about 3-5 months after our binge. The balance of the two should be taken into extreme consideration before one experiments with MDMA.

Not if you take a reasonable dosage and don't abuse it. On the contrary, molly can *enhance* your life after rolling. It can increase your appreciation for life, give you a long-lasting afterglow, and even permanently shift your perspective in a positive way. It increases your empathy for your fellow human, and the world needs more of that. It also has therapeutic benefits for people with social anxiety, PTSD, and depression. Benefits win.

Yes! I've lived that too. My first experience with MDMA left me with a sense of happiness and quietness that lasted about three/four months and made me want to explore (and learn and live) even when sober. I even managed not to smoke weed for a month (I had been wanting to quit) so that was a blast. Your mindset definitely makes the difference between a good and a bad experience!

I never much liked 1st person shooters or such games, but after taking MDMA, i just can't stand all the uber violance games, that is all about killing other people. it's "just" pixels, but it makes me sad to think people think so little of others. i mean there's actual wars, where peoples lives are tossed away like garbage, and people enjoy playing games about it. i want everyone i know to take MDMA a few times, so they'll get perspective on life, but it's like this lyrics to a song: "the masses will never accept a different mind" even if it would benefit everyone. People will just doubt its usefulness, or well, can't you do that without MDMA? why do you need drugs to feel happy? it's not that, but they don't get it. Well they can go party without alcohol then, and we'll see how fun they have without a boost :) my first afterglow lasted 2-3 weeks, but subsequent afterglows have been shorter and shorter, and last time there wasn't any, so i guess i need a break, to restore serotonin and such := But MDMA is def my fav drug.

Robert R try ketamine, take a break from E's. Yeah it's great but it's hell when you don't get no normal balance of serotonin to the brain, even winning the lottery wouldn't of made me happy at one point, if you ever end up like that switch to downers for a bit even valium and a few beers, don't overdue valium either though withdrawal will have you in hell, everything in moderation is best, switch things around so your body doesn't get used to them

MDMA was the first drug that I had any addiction too. I was taking it every weekend some times 2 times a week for over a year when I was 16-17. the come downs were incredibly brutal. I had anxiety and depression to begin with and that year did a lot of damage. Then I was prescribed opiates when I was 19-20 and that gave me the 2nd best feeling to MDMA (totally different) with out the gnarly come down and ended up going through 5 rehabs and 6ish years of addiction and finally at 27 I almost 2 year clean. I can say that mdma was a problem for that introduced me to a world of insanity

My husband and I take mdma 1-2 times a year, we've actually managed to find someone one step from the lab so it's always very pure and easy to dose the exact right amount now every time. It saved our relationship the first time we took it and now it's always a really nice way to "refresh" our relationship. I also have never had a bad comedown, I always have a nice afterglow the next day. (We do still always test when we get more, however, because it's always better to be safe than sorry. No matter how good someone promises something is, ALWAYS TEST)

My first MDMA experience was the most intense thing I have ever felt. I weigh 67Kg and I'm a dude, the first time I took MDMA crystals, my dose was around ~170mg in one gulp. (3x the normal dose for my bodyweight) I did not know any better or do any research myself, an acquaintance of mine offered 350mg for like 15€ and told me that was 2 heavy or 3 average+ trips. Since I was out of speed and wanted to be stimulated recreationally, decided to try it out. I was home alone in the late evening and was hoping for just some euphoric high and motivation to clean my house and listen to some dope EDM music, maybe jerk off and call it a night, like from amphetamines or whatever but oh boy. I was not expecting to feel THAT euphoric, my jaw involuntarily dropped when the peak started ~40min after swallowing the crystals with some tapwater. My pupils were literally vibrating, made my vision trippy AF. The music I was listening to on my headphones while sitting on my PC, felt like an eargasm, every single song was 10/10 perfect to me and felt like the best music I have ever heard. Every surface I touched felt like magic. I went outside of my house, It was around midnight, already. I live in a suburban area with just houses in the area, so the streets were empty, I walked around listening to music, smoking cigarettes' while singing along to music. The night sky, the street lights, the neighbors lawns, the trees, absolutely everything was so beautiful. Good thing it was night and no strangers around, because I probably looked like absolute maniac, but I will never forget that night. I did not experience a serious comedown or crash after, just felt tired and sleepy, kind of like a small hangover, that went away after a huge calorie dense meal and 10 hours of sleep. The only thing I regret, is using it alone that first time, I was not prepared for it at all, because while the next times were still amazing, nothing ever came close to that magical first time. I can't even imagine the emotional bond that night would have forged between me and someone else enjoying it with me. It's a very safe and amazing drug, HOWEVER - do not, and I swear by this - DO NOT use it more than ONCE every 2-3 months, it will make you depressed big time if you don't give your brain those 2-3 months recovery time.

It also made me realise the true beauty of life. I was down in a dark place and it picked me up. Ever since I dunked for my first time Ive always felt this way. The euphoria and sound of music is just a side effect. And yes I had a serotonin dip for a few days after but I still felt complete and at home.

I used to be very asocial, I would judge people without knowing them. Once I took MDMA for the first time it's like I was wearing someone else's skin my whole life and it had melted away. I finally learned to love myself and everyone around me.

The way you describe the bad comedown after mdma is exactly how I would describe depression when it was at its worst for me absolutely nothing is worth anything or makes you feel good whatsoever thankfully I'm better now, but I sure as hell would not want that again

I was trip-sitting a couple of friends on 2cb a couple of weeks ago, one had an amazing time and the other freaked out. Both had no idea what was going on, where they were or how they had gotten to my home for at least 2 hours. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, if you have trouble handling lsd or shrooms you should keep away from 2cb.

To all the future/possible users of this drug, I think it is entirely possible to avoid the negative comparison to our sober lives, it just takes the right mindset going in, and during, and after the experience. The key for me was realizing that this is something that when done as a once a year experience type of drug can have (for me) amazing effects not only changes in my sober relationships, but also how I view life in general. The intrinsic value that heightening my senses has comes from my mindset as I go into the experience it i know how rare and “unnatural” (meaning I actively know this isn’t normally me) the experience is. This makes the sensations feel so much more valuable. Talking through my experiences and reaffirming this thought that I’m having an non normal experience seemed to absolutely nullify the comedown and also the negative comparison to my sober senses.

I think it's very dependent on the individual and their past. Also how often a person has taken MDMA. I found it useful in the past at the right time..... though I use it for the bonding and connection more than the Deep self Insight I get from other psychedelics.

I love your videos so much and they have really opened my mind. People, do your research before you take MDMA (or any drug, really). I took it for the first time on New Year's eve after doing a lot of research and prep to stay safe, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! (Same with my first acid experience). In fact, I got an afterglow rather than a comedown. Maybe I'm just psychologically lucky. Still, definitely worth doing if you are keen and prepared to be safe.

MDMA is really one of those things you have to be smart about. The risks are definitely serious but as long as you don't take it too often, get it from a trustworthy source (or better yet test it), and take care of your body on it, you will have unforgettable experiences.

I addressed some of my insecurity on MDMA the first time and it help me massively, I then went on to do it every other weekend on and off for a couple of years this was 15 years ago and I have to say I think I have done damage to my brain, I have learnt that once you get the message hung up the phone.

Developing unattainable happiness goals after taking molly was my worst fear before taking it for the first time, but I'm happy to say that it ended up having the same after effects as shrooms did. It actually made me feel more content and like I'm more aware of reality and how beautiful life is, I don't plan on doing it again anytime soon though because I think the advice of not using regularly is verrrry important because my friend does it *too* often and she has become more depressed and at that point, I just think why bother? Thanks for the great information and you're the reason I have consumed drugs responsibly and have avoided the dangers

Tried molly once with my girlfriend. Amazing experience when you're already close with someone and you can still get closer, those new things stuck. Then found out about the SNRI interaction, not worth it going forward, grateful for the experience that happened without much consequence.

You should do weed for the next one because a lotta ppl wanna argue whether you should or can smoke everyday. Obviously you can, but you shouldn't because no one should use drugs EVERY day, butttt, I even usually smoke every day. Also, another thing you could bring up is the pyschedelia of weed and that it's not the same for everyone AND it can become more psychedelic after something like LSD or Shrooms and whatnot. Great vid tho Adam! keep this shit up!
