I want to avoid making generalized assumptions, so if I'm wrong please let me know, but this is what I've come to understand about INFJ's based on my own personality test results (INFJ-T). INFJ's are idealists. Often every decision I make is geared to meet an end goal or greater purpose. As a result, I tend to think about my future quite a bit, which in turn, breeds anxiety along with some very unhealthy emotions (often times dealing with one's own mortality and purpose). As an INFJ, I've learned to overcome these weaknesses by being less judgemental of my own short-comings, as well as finding a balance between working towards my goals and taking time to repair and rejuvenate my mind, body, and spirit (INFJ's are notoriously bad at taking care of themselves because they are so absorbed by reaching the previously mentioned end-goal, even eating and sleeping fall to the way-side). As another side note, INFJ's are sometimes called "the introverted extroverts". They don't need a lot of friends to be happy, but when they are around people they REALLY trust, they are often considered the life of the party. All of this can be summed up by saying that INFJ's aren't always doom and gloom, they are just normally perceived that way due to a seemingly closed off nature to most outsiders. Their minds are a safe place that very few ever get to explore, but a true friend to an INFJ will find a deep pool of wisdom and love that they will happily share. Hope that answers your question!

Of course, you should only tell trusted friends your deepest (and possibly darkest) thoughts, but finding truly trust-worthy people to talk to about these things prevents anxiety from accumulating in your body.
