This just somehow crushed my feels. Best OTP I've ever shipped. I don't think a mere 'friendship' would make Kougami willing to waste his time to contact Akane, and only Akane, to let her know that he was somewhere safe when a random drone could just show up and kill him that instant. No, really? Do you do that to a 'friend'? Heh. I don't know about you, but I do believe, even if anyone insist that it's not romantic, Kougami holds Akane's existence as someone very important to him. So does Akane, I guess. But anyway. I really do hope there would be somewhere in Psycho Pass series that would put them together, 'as merely normal people' like Akane said. Time to take down the Sibyl! ...or something like that. It looks like it's not an easy job to do. (Biggest understatement of the year!)

Sometimes it makes me so sad that Kougami was so focused on Makishima and vice versa that they missed the absolute brilliance that was Tsunemori standing right behind then the entire time. Even Sybil eventually recognized Akane's powerful personality in season two and the movie. (She's probably one of the only being able to change and evolve the system from outside the system) I mean, there's no doubt that Kougami saw her brilliance (OTP OTP OTP) but it makes me so frustrated that he was so distracted by Makishima to give Akane the attention she truly deserved. Makishima too. He prides himself in seeing other's true souls, yet he looked down on her when Akane was so much more brilliant than either of them. Yes she appears very ordinary and plain, but there is no doubt that Tsunemori Akane is greater than them all. Strong enough to stand by her ideals and come out greater when the world tears her down. ;_; Am I wrong?

Just recently finished the show; gonna see the movie soon. This is the first time I've ever shipped anyone... and I'm a guy, and i'm proud ,i mean come on ! NO HUMAN can deny that : Akane and Kogami have such a great chemistry together...

Waaaah! This caught my heart strings! They're the best OTP I've found so far. And of course my favorite pairings are unrequited or one-sided. This anime kept things so professional to a point that it kept us THIRSTING for some romance. Shikane is a truly beautiful thing, whether it be a bond of friendship or romance.

In the novel, when Akane said "Where are you?" Kougami felt a stinging pain in his chest. Uh, gimme more Shinkane!

This one of the many things I like about this show without affecting the main story they manage to give a subtle ship to our viewers which has a united front and none opposing it. And it's good as I like the show not having a romantic sub plot has yet enough to tease us

dammmmmmmmmmmmmm i didnt even know this existed its amazing how much kougami and tsunemori both changed each other for the better....they both saw flaws in each others method of working and yet both accepted each others beliefs and for carrying out what they believed was right.....even when kougami killed tusenmori says "i believe this was destiny...these 2 would always meet like this and this would be the outcome" tsunemori saw kougami as a true friend and with ideals which are needed in the world they lived in and therefore wanted to protect him from the system no matter what...and yet kougami had no choice but to kill makishima to expose sybils flaws for what they were

i'm about to watch the new movie, I started this series back in 2014 when I was a freshman in highschool, i'm a full grown adult now and their relationship is still one of my favorites T_T greatest slow burn romance in my humble opinion

I only watched season 1 of the series but I have seen a few clips from the movies and other seasons. But this convo made me tear up. Like we didn't need it to be animated in order to feel the emotions in this scene. The voice itself is enough to make us feel sad and depressed.

When Kogami was asked about Akane he said he was usually uncomfortable with women but he was able to talk Akane because she's a 'kid' and and hasn't become a woman yet. But still, fanart STILL tempts me

I'm honestly more intrigued by them not becoming a couple. This is the first anime I've watched in quite a long time where there was no coupling, and I think I liked this series all the more for that reason.

How would Akane feel after this call? Completely heartbroken, not knowing if he survived or not. I don't know how she's still sane (although a bit more jaded) with everything that's happened to her. Him leaving took a big toll on her, so big that she even hallucinates about the guy, for god's sake. I'm guessing this is what Gino was talking about when he told Kogami to stay out of their lives for good.

I have a feeling that Kougami will make an appearance and meet up with Akane again at some point in season 2. The sooner, the better. Whether he becomes the bad guy (which I doubt he would be) or the good guy (which we all know he is), it doesn't matter. But of course, we all wish he'd become the good guy and fight against the screwed Cybil system. And of course, I also prefer it if they form a relationship along the way. But more importantly, I just hope that in the end, Kougami and Akane will safe and sound. I've watched a few 'dark anime's before, and I really hate the endings of most of them because the main characters died at the end. It's just too sad and I always have a hard time accepting it. I sure hope Psycho-Pass isn't the same. I don't really care if all of their colleagues die as long as Kougami and Akane survives till the end. I'm gonna go crazy if either Kougami or Akane or in the worst case scenario, both of them end up being dead. I just can't accept it! I can't and I never will!

I don't see any possibility of Kogami returning in season2 apart from flashbacks or references. His story has ended and it will be much better to leave it that way. Tho after looking at MAL's foreboding synopsis, i'm quite sure he will appear in The Movie.
