He has been very friendly and easy to talk to the couple times I met and spoke with him. Down to earth. He lived in my hometown. He was neighbors with a special needs kid we went to high school with, Seth, and he put Seth on Memphis Wrasslin’ doing promos on TV with Sid...I always thought was that was really neat for him to do that for that kid. Sid’s son, Frankie, was a good kid too and I told Sid that and I could tell he knew that was true and proud of it.

Sid is one of the humblest and underrated wrestlers in the business especially being known as one of the most hated heelers because I remember when I was little I hated all the heelers and it was only natural for all kids of the 80s and 90s era to hate the heelers and love the babyface but now I love all the wrestlers that wer're once heelers especially having to put up with all the controversy of the fans and even threats over the years so big ups to them all especially Syd the Psycho :)

Sid is a legit guy. He was one of the best big men and he has defeated famous wrestlers like Bret Hart, Hbk, Sting, Kevin Nash, the Undertaker etc. I wonder if the interview with Sid is the longest of any wrestler. It's an amazing 3 hrs. There could have been long interviews with few other wrestlers, i have just not seen them.

Sad that WWE have screwed so many greats. Sid had a presence that not many had before or since. He really did embody that psycho character and even if you knew it was fake you still felt he was actually nuts. Guy was just that good. Great work ethic, looked in fantastic shape, incredible genetics, great acting, great athleticism.

The only major pops I remember from the pre-attitude era seriously were every Monday Night when Sid would come out, no matter what town they were in, no matter which babyface he was fighting against, all I can remember is the giant letters spelling RAW at the top of the entrance aisle and the crowd would go berserk, and all you’d see is Sid in a sea of fans screaming “who’s the man!?” While giving that infamous Sid Fist bump out all over the place ........ and he was a “heel”. I used to also love how he literally would take a lifetime to get to the ring and he didn’t seem to give a shit. His theme would play all the way through and basically have to start again from the top as he took his time just getting hyped up and getting the fans involved as he slowly walked the aisle. Then he’d hit the ring and the his Pyro would hit above the ring, and it literally was more entertaining just watching that entrance and reaction of the crowd each week then it was watching Vince’s Boy Toy and Bitter Bret Hart jaw back and forth each week. Sid was indeed the man. The guy was over in ‘92, and he was over again during that pre-attitude era window where the WWF was filled with tired, gimmicky, cartoon characters and corny personas. This guy deserves to be in the HOF and if it weren’t for Double A stabbing him he would be.
