Psychological tests for #personalityassessment at ISSB are the key tests, therefore, its important for candidates for PMA long course, PAF and Navy to understand these well. These are standardized globally for testing personal abilities. These follow strict parameters and are arranged in layers. The #psychologist follows it up with interview to make a clear picture of #personality of the #candidates. The tests include:
Word Association Test (#WAT); This test is based on making a sentence from a word which is flashed for 10 seconds. Word Association Test )WAT) is done under pressure of time including 100 words. Word Association Test Example is available in our Facebook group.
Sentence Completion Test (#SAT): Evaluation of the Psychologist is primarily based on the individual's performance in the projective personality tests, which include Word Association, Thematic Apperception (Story-writing) and Psychological Situational Test (also called as story writing / pointer story). Sentence completion is like fill in the blanks, where in you have to complete a sentence both in urdu and english (26)
Picture Story Writing Test consists of pictures shown the candidate on screen using which one has to complete the story in 3.5 minutes. From the stories produced by the candidate, an assessment s made of the personality slants of an individual. The responses expressed in the form of stories provide valuable clues to the candidate’s emotional attitude and temperamental make-up. Story writing also includes pointer stories. A candidate has to write story based on an incomplete sentence.
#OPItest : Normally being mentioned at Oral Proficiency Test, OPI test is actually a new tes. OPI (Occupational Personality Inventory) is an advanced psychometric that is published by Kenexa, the World’s second largest human skills testing organization. OPI is a complex tool that looks at 25 specific personality traits. It is completed online by the candidate, and provides an in-depth profile that can be used for both recruitment and development. OPI typically takes around 45 minutes and is 150 questions where the candidate are presented with behavioral statements and are asked how much the statement refers to them in the workplace on a scale from 1 (not at all like me) to 5 (very much like me)

Surely we are making next video in OPI Test at ISSB,so you can ask question to clarify doubts that these are explained in next training video about OPI. It's incorrect to adjust answers to "show" a personality to impress. There are things in life about which one may feel more strongly e.g."respect of mother", abuses to sisters by someone, beating of a poor on roadside by cruel person etc. Similarly there are things about which one is sure, or bit doubtful etc. So these should be reflected accordingly. Don't try to fix things that a particular type of question is to always answered like this or that. Try answering as you feel about it e.g. if the question is "I should work hard to become good" and I feel it absolutely correct, so I can strongly agree to it. While answering I have to write the way I feel AND NOT An ANSWER WHICH WILL GET Me PASSED.

I have a query related to it, mentioned below: ( Keeping the fear of rejection in ISSB as its my second and last chance before graduation ) 1- Should i go for Paf again? or switch to other forces because they have a higher number of candidate seats. 2- Should I believe in myself and put 100% in Paf and go for my passion. 3- Is Issb merit creteria is same for three forces or it's usually high for Paf? issb tests are same for all courses and the competition levels are also similar. the competition level in AD branch in PAF is as good as any other branch in army, navy and airforce.

Positivity does not relate to use of one word in one sentence. It's like difference in smiling normally or stretching ones lips too much artificially (to show off that one is cheerful) or bowing to the level of knees to show humbleness. I explained threshold level of being "good" as well. Wisdom and Lakeer Kay faqir on writing positive are different approaches.

Hobbies are things you do in your spare time, so you can mention your hobbies in given space. There is no harm in mentioning cricket as well, if you do it - else it can be mentioned in sports, if you have separate space for sports

I think these are some of the things I have been mentioning in my lectures i.e spontaneity, sincerity and originality. Positive sense is invariably interpreted incorrectly and there is nothing stopping a particular type of words, as long as one does not go into excessive emphasis.

Like most of the people appearing in the technical branches reaches at the age of 26 or above... So they judge them according to the combat officer like the long course personnel.... Or they take issb according to the desired branch like Cs , it and engineering

It's normal to play one odd sports and not having specific regular activity as hobby. So you can try to recollect things you do or prefer to do in your spare time (if there is any spare time, this helps to know your preferences), u can mention "rarely".. Having said that, at your age one may be heavily engaged in studies, so one odd sports may be only activity. So basketball may be both your sport as well as hobby. I suggest first part of my statement though

ISSB Tests are designed to be attempted without preparation. Many young ones, I know, went for ISSB without preparation /after just glancing procedure at their website or from a reference book and succeeded. Others need complete improvements of personality which not matter a matter of couple of months. There are yet another who need bit of polishing of writing of speaking skills. So it works differently with different people.

Check definition on hobby from dictionary. I think there is nothing mentioned in it for what cannot be a hobby.

Sir i have submitted my issb form and have received issb date. I haven't written any hobbies and sports in it.but now i wanted to write hobbies and sports in a bio data form that is to be filled on the first day of arrival. Should i write or not??!

Many things are mentioned by some teachers in certain context. Its preferable to learn reasons for a particular aspect from the same source. Learn to apply own mind / logic and rather than blindly following. A suggested way is to practice writing using, so called 'PROHIBITED' words and see how you do in these vs others (not using these).

Assalam-o-Alaikum Sir I need some advice from you i have got my GDP issb form i was never active in sports and games but i started exercise few days ago for issb . I have already written my other two hobbies in the form but can i include the 3rd hobby as "i started exercising a month ago" Thank you :)

By writing skills I mean, ability to convey your thoughts (dil ki baat dil main hi naan reh jay) - Hand writing is a bonus. Yes one should be clearly readable to make sense of what is being written.

محترم سر السلام علیکم، سر میرا نام محمّد شریف ہے میرا تعلق بلوچ خاندان سے ہے میں سندھ کے پسماندہ علاقے ضلع جیکب آباد تعلقہ گھڑھی خیرو کے دیہی علاقے سے ہوں میں نے ایف FSC %66 سے پاس کیا ہے اور میں نے L/C146 کا ابتدائی امتحان بھی پاس کیا ہے، میرا مسئلہ یہ ہے کہ میں ISSB کی ٹیسٹ کے بارے میں بہُت کم جانتا ہوں حتٰی کہ میری انگلش بھی اتنی اچھی نہیں ہے، اب آپ کی ویڈیوز دیکھنے کے بعد مجھے تھوڑی بہُت سمجھ آرہی ہے اب کہنے کا مقصد یہ ہے کوئی ایسا ادارہ سجيسٹ کریں جہاں سے میں اپنی ISSB کی گائیڈ لائن لے سکوں۔
