What should you do if you adjusted your motor height to your bevel and there is no play between your pinion gear and bevel with no shims on your bevel gear and the two has a super tight fot on each other

If you want the guns to sound even better, consider buying SHS/Rocket pinion gears! Or start using ZCI 13:1 gears if you love using ZCI motors. That and varying degrees of amplifiers are how I get my builds to sounds so good Also you want wayyy less than 1mm of play when shimming. More like 0.1mm lol. Get it as tight as possible with the gear still spinning freely-shimming with bearings you can have a little more play because the bearings themselves will have some movement.

should glue/jb weld the piston rack to the body. also 1mm is quite a bit of side to side play, I ideally aim for minimum play (around 0.1mm) and check that the gear still spins freely with the shell screwed tight. 13:1 16tpa is also inefficient, you'll draw a lot of amps compared to high ratio low tpa setups. if you end up using AB you'll go through motor brushes a lot faster too. 13:1 16tpa should get around 35 rps with an 11.1, but if you use a 20:1 dsg with 22tpa motor you'll get around the same rps with less stress.

Client provided parts I would reccomend ASG 22 tpa for this build but he cared about RPS And piston rack is epoxied I did not show that but I do that to all pistons. Great work David

What would the stress be on a gearbox with 13:1 gears, 16 TPA motor, 11.1V Lipo, and a M110 spring? From what I’ve heard it shouldn’t be awful but since this build is similar to mine I thought I’d ask the experts 😂 Also if it wouldn’t be too stressed (if at all) on the 110, what would it be like with a 120 spring?

What piston are you using?? I have a quite similar setup with shs 13:1, a warhead 35k base motor and a perun hybrid. My Piston and pistonhead weigh 28g. I belive have tappet plate pme and therefor very high fps fluctuation. Any idea how I can fix that?? Is my piston just too heavy?

Bearings all day for indoor builds. If you build it right and shim it correctly they should last a long time. I beat the shit out of my insidious armory bearings in my high speed builds and not a single issue thus far. They are on my website if you want to grab a set

Loctite easts away at plastic. Have you found any issues with the piston breaking, after using red loctite on the piston head?

I do not use red loctite anymore. This video is really old and the technique is outdated I have a much better system that you can find in newer videos and if you want my current shim guide you can shoot me your email. I use permeatex thread locker

so i’m building a 13 to one ssg and i’m having trouble getting the sector gear to cycle the piston completely it stops 2 teeth short do you have any tips to correct this
